this is a game changer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive this so I can keep an eye on my home and my dogs while I’m away. The app is super easy to set up- took me about 5 minutes to hook up the camera and set up the app. The camera functions in night vision as well, which is awesome. Probably my favorite part is that I can talk thorough the camera to my dogs while I’m away. I did test the microphone while I was at home and it’s not very loud, but enough so that the dogs can hear me. This is great and gives me peace of mind when I’m away!

Does not hook up with the internet

The camera will not hook up to Internet. All it does is switch between blue light to green light.

Hello Jim T, I am happy to assist you with the current issue you are experiencing while attempting to connect your Smart Indoor Camera. The flashing blue/green LED indicates the camera is unable to connect to your router, thankfully this can be easily resolved. If you have not already done so, I would recommend placing the camera right next to the router temporarily as you go through the set-up process. Should the issue continue, it may be time to reach out to your internet provider and review our recommended router settings for MyQ Cameras. Please review the following with your internet provider.

- Set your network to broadcast and not hidden. myQ cameras may work properly with a hidden network, but this is not recommended.
- Ensure you have DHCP enabled. DHCP allows the router to assign a LAN IP address to the myQ camera.
-myQ cameras are compatible with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
- Ensure you have 802.11n (802.11 b/g/n) enabled. myQ cameras do not support 802.11ac
- Set your router's security to WPA2. While myQ products support other security protocols, WEP and WPA, security protocol WPA2 is recommended. WPA2 Enterprise and WPA3 Enterprise settings are not compatible with myQ product
- Inbound and outbound TCP/UDP ports 9122, 4444, 5101-5104, and 4101-4104 open
- If you have your router's MAC address filtering enabled, the MAC addresses of the myQ product must be added to the list of authorized devices. You can review the MAC addresses of all devices on your network with your router's software.

WASTE of MONEY and MY TIME

These are the worst cameras I’ve ever purchased. After absolutely loving my new Chamberlain wi-fi garage door openers (with cameras), I decided to add : of these for the house. HUGE MISTAKE!! I’ve had them for several months and they will not stay connected for more than a few hours / maybe a day at most. I’ve went through all the troubleshooting, added more extenders (even sat them right above the router - same result - THEY stay on for a while then just start blinking. Same pattern for months. They just blink blue to green constantly now. We don’t even try. Waste of time but I can’t seem to get help returning as I did not keep the boxes. HATE THEM

Wish the live stream sound worked, otherwise amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great indoor camera with one major flaw which may just be faulty on my specific camera. The sound does not work when live streaming, but does work on playback. I can’t get the speaker to work if I talk through the app or just to hear sound of people in the room. It is a super easy to setup camera and is very user friendly. I already had the myQ app on my phone so adding the camera was simple. The wide angle lens captures my entire living room in one shot. Excellent playback quality. However, while trying to figure out why the sound wasn’t working, my son broke my lamp….but don’t worry, the camera caught the proof. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

I would like to provide you with some steps you may try on your own. First, In the myQ app on the Devices menu, tap on your Camera but depending on your view, you may need to tap View Camera to continue. Next, tap the play symbol to begin LIVE stream, then press and hold the Push to Talk microphone symbol to talk. Note: When you are holding the Push To Talk button, you will not be able to hear anything from the camera until you release it. Be sure your Bluetooth on your phone is not on and connected to any other devices in your home. Great when they work

Bought 2, one works great. The other worked for 2 days and will not reconnect. Trouble shooting says the camera cannot detect the network but the other camera works just fine. Also the non-working camera is with 6ft of the access point.
If they both worked I'd given 5 stars though.

Hello R.S, we are sorry to hear you are experiencing such issues while attempting to connect your 2nd myQ Indoor Camera. We are happy to walk you through the process of getting reconnected. First, let's reset the camera by pressing in on the reset button for 10 seconds which is located on the back left side. Next, remove the device from your app; to do so please select your initials in the upper left corner of the myQ app, select Device Management then choose the device you wish to remove. If using an iPhone simply swipe left on the device name, if using an Android, you will need to press and hold down on the device. Before we reconnect the camera, I recommend we temporarily place it directly next to the router we are connecting to. In doing so the device will be able to discover and connect to the desired network. Once you have been able to successfully reconnect you may unplug the camera and relocate its location. If you are still encountering issues with the camera connection, send us an email at social@chamberlain.com with your myQ email address and reference this review so we can look further into the issue and help you get the myQ camera connected and working properly.
