Great dryer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a household who does a LOT of laundry, we were looking to get something that was a little more cost effective and safe in our home. We have a very long vent for our current dryer and it was a real pain to keep clean. Usually we would have to clean it 2-3 times a year. With this new dryer, we will never have to do that again! Setup was a breeze, we had no problem getting it up and running and connected to the Samsung Smart Things app. Its awesome to get notifications when a cycle is done cause we are all very busy and sometimes forget that we had put a load of laundry in. The operation was pretty much the same as any dryer. There are different cycles for towels and bedding and a normal setting and things like that. I found that it performed just as good as a regular dryer in terms of the time it takes to dry things. I would say except for towels it dried just as fast or faster than a regular dryer. Towels did take a little bit longer. There is a little more maintenance as far as emptying the water tank and cleaning the lint trap and heat pump vent but that takes a very short amount of time and you don't have to do it very often. Its definitely much easier than trying to clean out a 30 foot vent pipe! Overall, we are very happy with our new dryer and highly recommend it!

Nice Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice Ventless Dryer with a lot of drying settings to accommodate any type of material you are trying to dry, like delicate, wool, steam to prevent wrinkles, ect.. my personal favorite is the towel setting it helps the towels come out nice fluffy and soft.
I also like the fact that it is ventless so it makes it easier to put anywhere that you don't have access to run a vent outside.
The smart app comes in handy if you want to wait to start a load after a certain time or if you even forget to turn on your dryer before you leave the house, you can just open your app, control the settings and start your dryer from anywhere.

Great vent-less dryer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in a duplex and our washer and dryer are in the center of the house so we have roughly a 30 foot vent tube from our dryer to the outside. It’s a hassle to keep clean and very difficult to do since its so long. As soon as I heard about these heat pump dryers I just had to give one a try! These are definitely very sophisticated systems, but it works very well! At first I was skeptical that it would double my drying time and things like that. But I was definitely proven wrong! Installation is a breeze, you hook up the power cable, run a drain tube (optional) and you are pretty much good to go! Just make sure you have the drain line running out of the right hose or you will have quite a wet mess on your floor (as we found out). The operation is just as simple and easy as any regular dryer. There are many different settings from normal, to bedding, to towels and things like that. I found that with everything except towels this dryer works just as fast or faster as a regular dryer. Towels used to take a little over an hour to dry in our old dryer, in this one it takes about an hour and a half or maybe a little longer. That’s totally fine with me if I save money on energy costs and don’t have to clean out a 30 foot tube filled with dryer lint twice a year! There is a little bit more maintenance you have to do on this compared to a standard dryer. The lint trap is a little more complicated (and I’m not sure why) There is an outer and inner filter that has to be cleaned. You also need to vacuum out the coils maybe once a month or so (which onlt takes a couple minutes) There is also a slide out water tank that you have to empty after every couple loads (unless you have a drain line hooked up).
overall, this is a great dryer, and I’m glad we decided to give it a try. If you are on the fence, I can tell you that it does work, and works very well!

Great ventless dryer

I also like the fact that I no longer have to deal with vent cleaning once a year, and the laundry room looks neater without the vent pipe. It’s one of those appliances that does its job really well but also makes life easier in ways I hadn’t thought of before. First off, the heat pump technology is a huge win. It reuses heat instead of creating it from scratch every time, which makes a real difference in energy use. Not only is it better for the environment, but it’s great for the electric bill too. Now, the real treat is the SmartThings app integration. I can control the dryer from my phone, which has been surprisingly handy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer setup was a breeze with not having to deal with running the vent. we had no problem getting running and connected to the Samsung Smart Things app and downloading new settings. There are a lot of different cycles to accommodate any type of material you are trying to dry, like for Bedding, Activewear, Towels and Air fluff as well as normal and Downloaded setting that you can download through the SmartThings app. The reversable door is a nice feature so you don’t have to lean over the door to put clothes into the dryer or when they are stacked the doors are on the same side.
I have found that clothes dried just as fast or faster than a regular dryer, but on the flip side with self dry or Sensor Dry a single pair of pants, blankets, and rugs the dryer doesn’t want to stay running even if you put it on timed settings. There is a lot that I like about this dryer but it also has its setbacks as well.
