Wish It Cleaned As Well As The Pet Powerlift Steam Mop

We have the Bissell Steam Power Lift, we love it but the handle broke on us 2x already. We wanted to try the crosswave so that we don't have to deal with cleaning very dirty stained cloths. What we love about the Crosswave: The separate dirty water tank-the rollers stay cleaner hence no need to put the cloth/brush in the washing machine. You can use the Crosswave on area rugs. What we don't like: It doesn't seem to clean as well as the Steam Mop. I feel that the brush head is not close enough to the ground and that means several passes for one spot = longer time to clean. It can't lift caked on dirt from the floor like the steam mop It doesn't leave a shiny look on the floors like the steam mop. It's not hot water that you are putting in the tank hence it's less powerful to lift of dirt. The need to buy chemicals-not sure if the chemicals kill bacteria like steam. We just received the machine recently, so we will determine if we will keep it or exchange with the same pet powerlift steam mop again with the expectation that the steam mop handle will break on us only after a year or look at other brands.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The light only comes on when you are spraying, pointless. I don't care for the way the cord is attached. There is no convenient way to keep it out of the way while in operation. Leaves streaks like a vacuum on carpet. The cap is hard to get on the dispenser. More than once I have had it all leak out.

Quality easily "SURPASSES" simulated uses but "AT A REDUCED" price underscores quality can come without raising the product price

I haven't tried the Crosswave on my hardwood floors yet, but it does a pretty good job on the tile with not much effort. It's so nice to be able to sweep and mop all at once.
