The cleaning of the machine is a little tedious, but for the work it does, it is a small price to pay. I even cleaned a small stain out of a rug! This is worth the investment in my opinion. With 2 Cats , one who is a Maine Coon, and Chewbacca for a husband, keeping hair and debris off my wood and tile floors is a full time gig! I'm glad I added the Bissell to my home care regimen.

Pre-finished hardwood floor squeaky clean

This wet scrubber vacuum cleaner for hard floors is extraordinarily good. I just got a spectacular cleaning of the 18-year old, prefinished hardwood in our kitchen, family room and halls. Though this use is not explicitly recommended, I decided to use the Crosswave on the entire wood floor after a quick clean-up of a small area was very successful, with no water remaining in the cracks to swell the boards. The small area had a coating of flour and sugar after cookie making and expedient try of the clean-up with the Crosswave left the urethane varnish shiny as new. The Crosswave has a rubber edge in front of the wet scrubber-roller that acts like a squeegee on the pull-back pass, capturing the dirty water as it is sucked up. I couldn't see through sucked-up water in the collector cup. I used half of the recommended Bissel Multi-floor cleaner liquid in the mix with distilled water for the cleaning solution. The floor was brilliantly reflective even after the first cleaning pass. A second rinse pass with distilled water also produced opaque, sucked-up water. Clean-up of the Crosswave scrubber-roller is easy with the plastic pan they supply. I poured a puddle of distilled water up to the mark in the pan, set the Crosswave in it, tipped the handle unit backward, allowing the brush-roller to turn on, and pressed the "floor" suction turn-on button. The brush-roller then cleaned itself, sucking itself dry. After 3 cycles, the liquid coming out of the brush-roller was clear. It is easy to open up the cleaning head, remove the brush-roller to dry and give a rinse to the remainder of the head. You also have to wash out the collector cup and. The paper-based filter is sensitive to getting moldy, so drying in the sun is recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disappointed its heavy noisy difficult to manage with heavy motor its ok to clean once you figure how to get all the pieces apart. Your supposed to write your model number but there's nothing telling where it is. It did clean the rugs and floors. However it sucked up the rugs then you had to stop. Turn off machine and pull rug out of roller.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I come from a family of vacuum enthusiasts. We own 10+ Dyson vacuums. I've carried this love of cleaning with me and after moving into a new place with my partner, I really wanted to do a professional deep clean of our floors and rugs. After an internet search rabbit hole that started with looking for a carpet cleaning service, I remembered that Bissell has good pet vacuums, and I decided to go for it and get the Crosswave. I am blown away by what a great product this is. It was pretty easy to assemble, very lightweight and easy to maneuver. It switches easily from hardwood to carpet, and I tried it on tile and sealed concrete as well. I have an 800 square foot apartment and it used all of the water and cleaning solution for the "large area" suggested amount. Disassembling and cleaning the parts was very simple too, and it's great that they include an extra attachment and filter. The floors and my rug not only look visibly better but the way they feel to walk on is perfect. It feels like how a professional clean would feel--no streaking and no tacky residue that you'd get with a wet Swiffer. Love love love this vacuum and I'm so glad that I got it. Considering how expensive vacuums can get, I'd definitely go for this one if you're looking for something that can do great deep cleans.
