[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was visiting my brother and his wife in Maine, and they were telling me about their new wonderful machine that vacuumed and washed their floors all at once. I couldn't wait to try it. Their floors did not even look the least bit dirty as they had been done 3 days previous, so they let me use it and I am telling you what a great job it did the water was filthy and the floor didn't even look dirty. As soon as I returned home I ordered my own. I just had new floors put in my kitchen & bath (ceramic tile) and mine worked great as well!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about four months ago. I just tried to use it for the first. it does nor dispense clean water from the container. I checked everything and primed it etcetera. First, last and only Bissell. Something this simple shouldn't be this hard to figure out why it isn't working.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love how my new Bissell cleans my floors, from my hardwood, tile and carpet. The fact that I can use one thing to do all my floors. I can't believe how much dirt comes from my hard surfaces! Love that the machine cleans the roller with the tray at the end. Cleans so well and is so easy!!

If you can get the switch to work, it is a good machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I clean our hardwood floors. It was great the first few time I used it. I cleaned the floors without flooding the hardwood with water. Then the switch began to fail. It would not turn off. I would have to shake the handle to make it vacuum. I thought it was sticking. It now will not turn off.
Cons: Hardwood Floors, Living Room, Multi-Surface, Small Spaces, Tile Floors

This is unusual, Tena. You have a warranty with BISSELL and we're here to help with your machine at support.bissell.com.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have sealed wood floors and was skeptical of this.... I was very happy with how this worked and was very surprised that it didn't leave water on the floor. There was dirty water in the holding tank! heck yeah..... it puts down clean water and so no dirty water is used again. I did the whole floor and some rugs, very happy with the results.

I'm thinking of upgrading

I have been looking for a machine that vacuumed the dirty water out of the tile grout lines. A regular mop leaves the dirty water in the grout lines, which dries leaving the grout dirty. Over time it becomes impossible to clean. The crosswave vacuums the water out of the grout line. I'm very happy with this machine and I am thinking about upgrading the cordless one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not paid to write this review. My Crosswave is amazing, a game changer! I am so impressed I cannot say it enough. Our hardwood floors are almost 30 years old. The dirt that came out of the crevices and such was really gross. I cleaned it until the water was clearer initially, 3 passes. Since then I just run it one pass and, clean! We have a lot of foot traffic in and out from my grandchildren. I could not believe how clean the Bissell Crosswave got it and how much OTHER products I used were barely cleaning. I then used it on my area rug and again, clean! I am so impressed with this Crosswave. It is also SO easy to use. It comes apart so easy for cleaning, well thought out design. And my weekly cleaning is a snap; just press the button for the floors and then press the button to switch over to the area rugs. I have been telling everyone I know about it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Crosswave hard floor cleaner for the first time a week ago. What a difference! I have hard tile floors in the kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms. The grout was deep gray instead of white. Cleaning the kitchen tile with the Crosswave liquid cleaner in the machine produced deep gray water in the waste tank from years of ineffective cleaning methods. I hope to clean frequently until I can get to the creamy color in the grout and fairly clear water in the waste tank. In the meantime, the kitchen floor is shiny, squeaky clean! The lanai has endured wind blown dust for nearly two years, due to land development behind our home. Also, a plant has blown over three times in the last two months, scattering a fine layer of black silt on the linoleum. Mopping wasn't making much of a difference, or even scrubbing on my hands and knees with a brush. With the leftover cleaning water in the tank and a clean, empty waste tank, I headed out to clean as much as possible. The waste water was muddy black. I used clear water to make a second sweep of the area, which produced more muddy water. This machine really gets to the bottom of the dirt! I knew to use Bissell liquid cleaner in the machine, but it wasn't clear that it had to be the Crosswave brand. So, all week I've been waiting for the shipment of the correct bottles to arrive. This is notable because my mother threw away her Hoover steam cleaner and is waiting to see what my new Bissell will do on her kitchen floor. If she sees an improvement, she will buy a Crosswave, also. I read the reviews and am aware of the pitfalls with this model. I chose to buy it anyway, because there isn't anything as effective for the price. I bought a little Bissell rug spot cleaner a few years ago for our daughter. It's efficient and easy to use, so I was already leaning toward a Bissell product. I would buy this product again.
