Cleans floors very well but difficult to clean the machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell crosswave cleans my hardwood floors and area rugs very well! The machine itself takes quite a bit of time to clean- even after just one use it was pretty difficult to get into some of the spots of the machine and some parts are almost impossible to get clean.

This is one of the worst products I've ever bought!! I have a fairly large house with all hardwood and tile floors. I wanted something to make my life a little easier. This is not the product to do that. It leaks streaks all over my hardwood and leaks dirty water EVERYWHERE!! Even if I don't come close to the mop button I still have streaks of dirty water all over and when I turn it off there is almost always a small puddle of brown water. I've only had my crosswave for about 6 months but I can tell you this will be the last time I buy Bissell every again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The fresh water tank lid will stay in the port
