I am wild about Takeya water bottles— particularly the Active line in the 18, 22 & 24 ounce sizes. I’ve got one each of those (and also a 40 oz Actives that i keep in my pickleball bag which is a little heavy but keeps lots of water ice cold). This is my second travel coffee mug and this color (merlot) is absolutely fantastic. It keeps the coffee piping hot. I love having the carry ring— makes it easy to carry it along with other things. One thing i don’t love about the design is that when you tip it up to drink when it is getting less full, the attached top mechanism is kind of right in your face. But overall, because of how well it works, how easy the pour mechanism is so it doesn’t drip when you pour into a cup, and the carry ring, and now this color (though i also love my black one), it is a great produce.
Awesome bottle for keeping my coffee hot while working at home. I especially like the fliplock top with safety -- very convenient and feels like I will never leak a drop while using it. Coffee stays hot for about 4 hours and warm for hours after that. Perfect for me.
I purchased the Traveler five months ago and have used it for ice water all day every day since. Although the intricately designed plastic and rubber lid mechanism obviously is not indestructible, the construction is solid from top to bottom, and it has survived several moderate drops without being damaged. Regarding that lid mechanism, the pour and vent holes are relatively small, so the crushed ice I use sometimes restricts the flow of water while drinking, but that wouldn't be a problem if no ice is used. By the way, it generally keeps the ice frozen for 12-plus hours at a time. And in my opinion, the Traveler is always the best looking bottle in the room.
Although this is meant for coffee, I really got it for the one click opening lid while I ride my bike. I love the fact that the height fits my bike frame and the diameter can fit my bottle holder. I wouldn’t mind it being a little wider to allow more liquid to be held, and maybe just a bit taller too. But again, I would need it to fit my women’s Specialized bike frame
Santa brought these for my husband & I as Christmas presents. After several months of use, I have to say, I love this leak-proof coffee thermos! I like that the lid 'locks' so there's no accidental button pushing when its in my bag. The carry handle is a nice touch for when my hands are full. Unfortunately, its not very sturdy, as my husband already broke his. I wish there was a bigger version though.
