I’m a repeat customer and absolutely LOVE these bottles, but I’ve broken the lid on one — making my purple 17 oz completely unusable — and I’ve broken the ring on the black replacement lid — which was unattractive. Still, the other 3 that we have are fantastic!

I love the Takeya bottles made for hot beverages (or cold) so much I have four of them...except for the well-know flaw. They keep my coffee hot for hours, even with half n half in it, and the loop on the lids make them easy to carry even when my hands are full. They're easy to clean and there's no taste from prior use. But... The screw-on tops eventually break, and then you have to replace the tops to keep using them. I like them so much I've continued to buy them anyway, along with replacement tops...but the last time I looked the tops weren't offered for sale! Now I'm nervous that they'll become unusable. I don't understand why Takeya hasn't made a better top--and for sure why they don't at least sell replacements (at the moment, anyway). This seems to apply only to the hot beverage bottles, which are what I care about.

This is the perfect travel mug! Love that it is leakproof but really love everything about it. Lid design is fabulous. The only problem I have is I only bought one and others in my family keep trying to claim it.

lid will break

Great bottle, but the loop is brittle plastic and broke within days. Since the loop holds the spring in place, this effectively renders the bottle useless. I cut off the rest of the loop and epoxy glued it in place so that it could still be used, but disappointed in the poor design, loss of carrying loop, and their failure to fix this obvious design flaw. The loop needs to be metal. This is an expensive bottle, so I would expect it to last more than a few days.

Terrible design

Literally just broke the ring off in which broke the top of the bottle. Kinda upset about this because I really liked this. I didn’t realize that if the carting ring breaks, so does the top of the bottle. This wasn’t cheap either. I bought this as a gift to myself for getting a new job.

Bought it for my 9 year old for school

I bought this bottle right before school started because I want something with a covered mouthpiece because of all the germs in school. Bottle fell when some kid ran into her and I was here try to find a replacement lid because she liked that it matched her lunch box and backpack. Anyway, ice last all school day in her bottle and it's a good size for kids. I personally liked that the bottle doesn't sweat because it's in her backpack with all her homework and folders. I feel like the bottle is better than the cap. Cap definitely needs some work. I will probably look for something with less moving parts that way hopefully it will last the rest of the school year.

I looked a long time before I found what I thought was the perfect travel bottle. But my first one broke. I was carrying it by the ring as my hands were full. That came completely off, the bottle fell to the cement and a piece of the lid broke and it will not close. I was able to re-attach the ring but cannot close the lid. I ordered another because of how long I looked for the right size, one click opening, carry with a couple fingers, etc. that I sought. Just wish the first one held up better.
