Great to hold & use, but quite fragile

Pros:
- Comfortable to hold
- Fits standard cup holder
- Keeps water cold
- Cleans decently well (though it's a bummer the main part isn't dishwasher safe)

Cons:
- Top broke upon first drop (from not that high)
- Top is expensive to replace
- Only replacement color is black, which looks pretty awful with an arctic white mug

I really expected an item labeled "Traveler" to be more durable and/or replacement parts to be not that expensive :-(

Lid problem

I love this bottle but the lid broke the third time I used it. The concept of the lid ring is great, and I love the built in ring on the bottom, but it is pretty unusable with a broken ring - too hard to easily carry and it has nipped my finger a couple times since it broke. Too expensive to have the ring break so easily and quickly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Received this as a gift, and the lid latch broke within a week, making it useless. Do not recommend at all.

Great cup, awful lid

I LOVE these bottles, however I hate the lids. They break very easily (warranty doesn't apply) and Takeya only sell replacements in black or white. The bottle looks awful with a mismatch lid. Trying to decide if I buy a third replacement or that's it.

I love the Takeya bottles made for hot beverages (or cold) so much I have four of them...except for the well-know flaw. They keep my coffee hot for hours, even with half n half in it, and the loop on the lids make them easy to carry even when my hands are full. They're easy to clean and there's no taste from prior use. But...
The screw-on tops eventually break, and then you have to replace the tops to keep using them. I like them so much I've continued to buy them anyway, along with replacement tops...but the last time I looked the tops weren't offered for sale! Now I'm nervous that they'll become unusable. I don't understand why Takeya hasn't made a better top--and for sure why they don't at least sell replacements (at the moment, anyway).
This seems to apply only to the hot beverage bottles, which are what I care about.

Watch for the handle ... it breaks easy

I purchased the teal bottle for my daughter as a christmas present for school use. Unfortunately, she dropped the bottle and the carry handle broke off. Since the carry handle is tied into the hinged lid, she can't use the bottle without having to worry of the lid is going to flip open.
I have searched the site for replacement lid but i could only find black. Not the ideal color we want.

I love this bottle but on my 4th replacement lid

I think that this is the best bottle out there, with a flip top lid that allows for the right flow of liquid, and the o rings and seal don’t get nearly as gross and their other spout bottles. I like that I just press a button to open the lid instead of unscrewing the top for a spout. HOWEVER: they really need to make this a more sturdy lid. I’ve had the plastic carrying ring break, I’ve had the flip top latch break. Once that latch breaks, it’s over, you can’t seal the lid anymore. I’ve bought 4 replacements over the last 2 yrs for the same bottle. I’ll keep buying a replacement lid bc I love it and can’t find anything close to it from another vendor. But they should really match the sturdiness of the bottle and make a sturdier lid.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I’m a repeat customer and absolutely LOVE these bottles, but I’ve broken the lid on one — making my purple 17 oz completely unusable — and I’ve broken the ring on the black replacement lid — which was unattractive. Still, the other 3 that we have are fantastic!
I would recommend this to a friend!
