This machine is everything I wished for. Anyone aspiring to run the full gamut of blending duties, with a specific affinity for how to handle seemingly delicate powdered protein mixes, this blender's speed control is a beautiful thing to behold. No more unnecessary aeration/frothing.
There is a lot to like about this product but the only things I will comment on is the self-cleaning function, the overall build quality and the complete focus on comprehensive controls. All of these facets are worth the price-of-entry vs. the typical, consumer grade offerings littered about. Other reviewers offer very comprehensive insight to the quality & capability of the Ascent X2.
I appreciate the fact that this unit is assembled in the U.S. and has a solid backing, with the 10-year warranty.
Pros: A quieter & controlled experience Variable speed Solid controls (dial & toggle switches), including the power switch (vs. older models) Easy to clean Easy to use Made in the USA That warranty!
Pros: Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Product features, Power
This blender lives up to the hype. It is powerful, fast, and compared to my last blender quieter. My smoothies are always SMOOTH and I really enjoy the self cleaning function. This is an investment that I have no regrets on.
Pros: Speed of Service, Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Product features, Power
Having purchased my Ascent X2 several weeks ago, I find that I am using it nearly every day. I wanted to make healthy superfood smoothies, and this unit performs superbly.
One of my favourite smoothies includes kale, frozen strawberries and frozen blueberries, along with a base of milk, Greek yoghurt, nut butter, seeds and ice cubes. The Ascent powers through all ingredients, delivering a silky consistency and no chunks.
I appreciate the self-cleaning feature for daily use, although I do a handwashing once in a while.
My Vitamix gives me the confidence that I can experiment with new recipes and be assured of powerful performance that ultimately makes my diet more nutrient-dense. Count me as a satisfied customer!

When I got this, the first thing I noticed was when I turned the machine on, the container turned so it is not sitting straight. Comparing this to my professional 750, I prefer the 750. It's ok, but I think I will consider the other models available. I'll pass on the Ascent X2. It's being returned.
Works great. Best mixer we've ever had. Has the power and power selections to meet a variety of applications. Haven't found anything this puppy can't do.
