Horrible design for anti-vibration connection

I just had a new unit installed by a professional plumber and the unit leaks at the connection between the disposal and the drain pipe. The plumber came back and said he sees this problem all the time with this unit. The anti-vibration fitting is a HORRIBLE design. The plumber can not replace the flimsy spring clamp with a hose clamp or flexible discharge tube without voiding the InSinkErator warranty. Wow - so disappointed in this design!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the old garbage disposal that's been in my house since 1997, and let me tell you what a huge upgrade this was for me. I think the blades on my old unit were dull because it would take FOREVER to grind up a lemon. This new one decimates it within seconds. I'm absolutely floored. And it's so much more quiet now. The sound doesn't travel all the way to our bedrooms anymore. Overall, this one is a winner. Very happy with it.
Pros: easy installation, grinds fast, looks good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This garbage disposal is awesome. It is such a beast and grinds up everything within seconds. It was easy to install and takes up less space underneath than my previous model. For having such a big motor, it is surprisingly quiet too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Evolution 1 HP Garbage Disposal is not over encumbersome under the sink so I can still fit a good amount of cleaning products underneath. This garbage disposal is very easy to install and hook up which is a huge plus. Can take care of most food waste that it does suck up without getting clogged up. I would highly recommend!

Great disposal, install can be tricky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ll start with the installation part of this, if you have basic knowledge and know something about electrical this will be fairly easy for you. If not, this may be a major headache. The instructions were pretty straightforward, a few things that were unclear but I was able to figure out what was being described after looking ahead. If you have no knowledge about doing electrical this is going to be somewhat confusing for you, even myself I’m pretty familiar with electrical but our older house made things difficult. Besides that, the actual disposal install was very simple, I didn’t run into any issues in that area. The disposal truly is quiet, compared to our previous one it’s MUCH quieter and you can tell it takes more time finely chopping food up just by listening when it’s running. We’ve really enjoyed this disposal and would recommend it to friends!
