The warranty means nothing

My carry on luggage has a defective zipper which opens up and I learned this right before my trip. I tried to use the warranty to get it repaired or replace but they have made it impossible hard by asking for model number or SKU which isn't easily accessible. Also, they require a shipping fee.
I am throwing the luggage away, it's not worth the time or expense to use the warranty.
DON'T BUY SAMSONITE products as they don't stand by their products and the warranty they offer means nothing if it's made so difficult and expensive to be used. I have no choice but to trash a never used luggage!

Collapsed on first trip

Unfortunately I bought a full set of this luggage last week. It is not inexpensive. I took it on my trip from Chicago to Houston today. When I picked it up for baggage claim one corner was totally collapsed pushing the wheel in making it unable to wheel correctly. I am a monthly traveler and have never had this happen. This is completely worthless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
