Very Good Value Headphones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The headset is a great headset, really simple to connect to my PS5 and when playing games like god of war the sound feels very specially aware. Detachable microphone is also convenient if you’re playing games that don’t need a constant microphone. Volume is a little hard to find on the back though.

Lightweight Gaming Headset w/ Crystal-Clear Sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Quantum 100X are wired over-ear headphones, primarily matte plastic with faux-leather on the earcups and green memory foam on the headband. They’re lightweight and the earcup padding is plush, and the clamping force is pretty decent. I have a pretty big head and they didn't feel tight at all, so those with normal-sized heads might feel even more comfortable. The wired connection means no lag in the audio, and the detachable, flexible microphone was high-quality. I used these for a few conference calls and folks on the other end said I sounded loud and clear. Volume control and mute are on the left earcup, and if I’m honest the rotary switch for volume felt a little loose. Overall the build fits that of a budget headset.
In terms of sound quality, it’s pretty obvious out of the gate that the 100X was not meant for listening to music but was designed primarily for gamers. Don't get me wrong, JBL makes great sounding headphones at all price levels, but if you're a primarily music listener there are better JBL options. The sound from the 40mm driver is super crisp and well-balanced. There seemed to be a slight bass boost, which didn’t bother me with gaming – instead it seemed to enhance the game experience. I was really impressed by how well JBL separates the highs and mids as opposed to drowning them out with lows, which is a real plus. You could hear footsteps around you even with explosions and other deep, loud noises. The soundstage is narrower than you’d find in an open-ear headphone, but if you’re in a noisy room or you want to keep the sounds to yourself, these are a really nice option. The surround sound worked really well, in my opinion. I was easily able to determine where things were happening.
Bottom line: the JBL Quantum 100X are really good, inexpensive, entry-level gaming headphones. They are lightweight and comfortable, the minimalistic design looks good (I really like the green accents), the microphone was clear, and the sound was more than passable for gaming if not exceptional.

Great but not the best..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It gets the job done and sounds great but the comfortability lacks a bit. After a while of playing it starts hurting my ears but I’d still recommend the product. Very good sounds for its price and I’m looking forward to try future jbl headsets

Good quality sound and comfort

At first I was skeptical about the quality, but I have to say after using them they work just as well as other more expensive gaming headphones. They are lightweight and come with a removable microphone. I also like how you just plug them in through a standard headset jack and play. The headphones are very lightweight and comfortable .The sound quality is very good. Overall I am happy with this headset and highly recommend.

Soft, Light, Clear Sounding and Ergonomic Headset

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Quantum 100x for being an entry level gaming headset is one anyone can enjoy and use easily. Out of the box I tested it out with my Playstation 4 Remote. The headset is very light but sturdy. The soft leather cushions stay snug and sit well on my ears. The cushions could be a little bigger. There is not a lot of cushion on the top of the head, mainly plastic so had to adjust to make it comfortable. During gameplay the sound coming thru was very clear and you could definitely make out the treble and bass. I wish the volume could be a little louder though. When live talking with my friends they said they could hear me well except that I was a little too loud so I had to adjust the mic a little bit. The mic that came with the headset is adjustable. To mute you have to touch the headset. To adjust volume you have to touch the headset. The 3.5mm jack and tested it on my Nintendo switch as well. Overall from using it a couple of days, it is a simple ergonomic reliable gaming headset. I recommend this to anyone who just needs a dependable simple light headset. But if you are looking for something with more features such as the ability to have volume controls from the cord, more deeper sound definition or more personalized fit then look into the next tier of the Quantum series. But for hitting the main uses of being able to hear live clear sound, talk with your friends and light soft fit. Look no further than the Quantum 100x.

Great sound for price point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this headset with my PS5 and while I found the sound quality to be pretty great for this price point, I only gave it 4 stars because it doesn’t seem to interface with the PS5 completely and cuts out periodically. Other than that I really enjoy this headset.

My life changed after buying these

Words can hardly describe the feelings of compassion I have towards this specific gaming headset. Personally, I have terrible issues with breaking thingss when I get angry at video games, but that is okay with these. They are crazy durable and at an amazing price. I seriously cannot recommend these headphones more. Perfect for on a budget gaming👍 10/10
