This is the best phone I have ever had. The folding screen moves away from gimmick quickly after a few days. Really, only the time it takes for the actions of folding and opening to become natural. It has become unthinkable to go back to a regular phone. This is, at least, a giant step forward in usefulness. Opened or folded saying the phone is comfortable and easy to use is an understatement.
The battery life is inferior compared to the Z fold 5. The same weekly usage, within minutes for the last few weeks, and the battery is 50% on Z fold 6 and would be up near 80 on the Z fold 5vfor the same use duration. There are some pluses to the 6 like the hinge is less ridiculous, the front screen is easier to read, and it feels slightly thinner. If you burn through minutes on your phone the battery is the deal killer for you. I still like it but the battery kills me because it is the same battery as the 5.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, John. We appreciate your feedback regarding the battery life, and we understand how important this aspect is for daily usage. While the Z Fold 6 offers some advancements, including a more streamlined hinge and an easier-to-read front display, we acknowledge that battery performance is a crucial factor for many users. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 features the same 4,400 mAh (typical) battery as the Galaxy Z Fold 5, but thanks to an advanced processor, it offers more efficient power usage. This means you can listen to music for up to 77 hours or watch videos for up to 23 hours on a single charge. If you are experiencing shortened battery life on your phone, we recommend checking out the links attached for options that should help optimize your phone's battery life. If this persists, please be sure to reach out to us at Samsung Support. Thanks for reaching out to us, Alsh. Your feedback on the Galaxy Z Fold6 is greatly appreciated. The Z Fold6 features a non-removable battery with a capacity of 4400mAh (typical). Users can expect up to 18 hours of internet usage time on both LTE and Wi-Fi. Additionally, you can enjoy up to 77 hours of audio playback and up to 23 hours of video playback when using wireless options. Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold6 offers longer battery life on a single charge compared to the Galaxy Z Fold5, despite having the same battery capacity. This improvement enhances the overall performance and usability of the device. If you are still experiencing a shortened battery life, be sure to check and make sure your device is up to date with the latest software update. Check out the links attached for additional options that should help optimize your Z Fold6 battery life. Samsung offers a 12-month limited warranty for manufacturer defects. We also provide the option to add additional coverage with Samsung Care+ on eligible devices, which offers extended protection and additional support. Overall, my experience with the Fold 6 has been decent. The trade-in process was straightforward and seamless, which I greatly appreciated. Regarding the Fold 6 itself, it’s a well-built device and performs as smoothly as my Ultra 24 Plus. While I haven’t noticed a significant difference between the cameras on both devices, I digress. Having experienced Fold phones from the 3 to the 6, I must admit it feels like déjà vu.
That said, I do have some thoughts on areas for improvement. I believe certain services, such as video chat, shouldn’t be locked behind carriers or specific apps. Additionally, the S-Pen should be included with the device to truly maximize the user experience, rather than being an additional purchase. With the advancements in technology, it seems feasible that the S-Pen could be integrated into the device itself without compromising its design.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. I look forward to seeing how future iterations evolve.
