Worst filter ever!

I’m used to Zero filtered water. The best reading I’ve got on this filter was the first day at 84. Now it reads around 120. Water straight out of the tap is 131. It doesn’t remove what they advertise and the replacement price is ridiculous ! Very disappointed. I hate to have a water dispenser on the counter when I have a brand new refrigerator that has a dispenser, but I do love perfectly clean water.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What a scam. The only thing I can think of doing is putting another type of filter on the back of the fridge line. Two filter system. $$$$$

Half the life advertised most expensive to replace

Brand new refrigerator and the filter lasts 3 months, not the 6 months or even close to what it is advertised to accommodate. I’m concerned about the expense, this very expensive water filter, will now incur. Losing faith in Whirlpool, they used to be a brand you could trust.

Replaced water filter with this and could not get it to stop leaking. Had to put old filter back in until I can get a replacement

Unsatisfactory Is An Understatement!

Like many other people writing the review in the last year, this filter is of poor quality. I have been through 5 filters in the last year and just installed my 6th. This filter works for the first couple of weeks then the water slows to a trickle. This effects the other features of the fridge like ice production. The water continues to slow until almost no flow is allowed. One could think that with the change in water pressure the fridge is under stress due to the poor function and noise. The light will illuminate and signal the filter is in need of replacement. This is unsatisfactory that a filter licensed by the manufacture would cause issues like this. I also feel any value is nonexistent with the failure of the product and the cost to replace at least twice the recommendation.

Buy only what you need and avoid subscription trap

Terrible experience; bought the 2 pack subscription option for the water filters as a way to save money and convenience. One of the filters arrived damaged. Trying to get a replacement, a refund or cancellation has been difficult. It seems this is intentional and the process should be just as easy as buying the product

Horrible Duration- but tastes good

Purchased 10/20/2025 and today is 1/15/2026…. This filter doesn’t last. Quality is good but the price is steep for less than 3 months.

Complete trash!!!

Terrible filter! Terrible product! The original filter that came with a brand new refrigerator lasted one month before it only put out a trickle of water. I replaced the filter with this travesty of a recommendation filter which only lasted two weeks before it only put out a trickle of water. Take the filter out and lots of water from the water dispenser. Put it back in and it’s a trickle. That means it’s a bad filter. Do better with your product Whirlpool! Also, before you say it, I don’t want to hear how long it last depends on the water. Our previous (300 gallon) Samsung filter lasted a year and never clogged up. Absolute trash!!!
