Filter Issues

1. Why are these filters so expensive and B. Why are they not available anywhere else (that I can track down anyhow)? Seems a little bit outrageous! This refrigerator is awesome and all my other appliances are whirlpool! I just don’t get why this cheesy filter is in this fantastic fridge!!

Big Waste of Money

I'm in agreement with the other reviews. I'd give these filters ZERO stars if I could. We've always had Whirlpool refrigerators and used to be very happy with the water filtration system. We recently bought a new Whirlpool that requires these everydrop filters and they are just terrible. They don't last 6 months as we were told when we bought the refrigerator - only 3 months, 4 if we're lucky. The water starts coming out extremely slow and there is a really annoying sound reminding us to order a new filter. I don't like that the price keeps going up and up on these filters and there's nowhere else to buy them. They are not worth the price we're paying. It's really frustrating that Whirlpool is doing this to loyal customers.

Too soon to replace water filter

I purchased my brand new refrigerator after christmas last year and the filter replacement light was on yesterday, May 8, 2025. That was about 4 months only, not 6 months as detailed in the brochure?

Issue with this filter!

We have changed our water filter several times since our refrigerator purchase on 4-29-2024 and have the same issue each time. At first, the water flow is great. Within 6 weeks, the water flow slows down by at least half. With the water filter removed, the water flow is great and we have no problems with water flow everywhere else in the house. There are only 2 adults using the water/ice in the refrigerator. What is the issue with these filters? Is anyone looking into this problem? It is very expensive to replace them this often when they should last much longer. The filters were purchased on a whirlpool subscription and an authorized whirlpool dealer. I am seeking a solution to this issue.

What a SCAM

Have had this refrigerator less than 5 months. I DO NOT use the water feature nor do I use much ice as a single individual. Yet, I need a new filter already? How, why? If the filter is not in use why would it need to be replaced already for outside of the HIGH price it comes with?

Defective!

I just changed my filter completely following instructions, and the water flow slowed down in a week. Now it is a trickle like some other reviews said. My last one in the fridge worked fine. And it is a brand new fridge with brand new filter! So annoying. What's wrong?!
