I am very happy with these lights which are easy to install and even in cold weather if use a heat gun they stick on the surface tight. I love that I don't have to take down lights now and can use these year round for different scenes.
Tons of options for the light display , almost too many. Lights are bright and nice but for 330 you’d think the adhesive on them would stick.. two days after I put the lights up 30% fell , had to put the bracket and screws into each light around the house.
I installed the Govee Permanent Lights 2 on my home and initially really liked the look and brightness. Installation was straightforward, and I took extra precautions due to cold weather—temperatures were around 30°F at the time. I used a heat gun during install to properly activate the adhesive and ensure good contact with the soffit.
Unfortunately, after about three weeks, the lights began falling down as the adhesive failed. This was disappointing given the effort put into installation and the expectation that these are meant to be “permanent” outdoor lights. The adhesive simply does not seem suitable for Ohio weather, especially with cold temperatures and temperature fluctuations.
If you decide to purchase these lights, I strongly recommend using third-party mounting brackets or track systems instead of relying on the included adhesive. The product itself looks great when installed properly, but the mounting solution needs improvement for colder climates.
