Don't Bother

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave lasted about three weeks after installation and then the button that opens the door broke. The good news: Whirlpool is replacing the microwave and installing a new one. The bad news: it's the same model. This is our THIRD Whirlpool microwave since June of 2023. The first one lasted 20 months and of course we were out of the 12-month warranty. Because our microwave is a built-in with a trim kit, we are limited as to what we can buy, so we bought another Whirlpool model that fit our space. But when this one goes, we'll look for something else and make it work somehow. What happened to Whirlpool quality??

No handle is not good

Door release broken and pathetic service

We got this whirlpool microwave that came in with our new construction home. The microwave’s door doesn’t open even though we press the door release button firmly. There is no other way to open it. I’ve tried to setup a service appointment online and the page errored saying I need to call. I called the service number and was kept on hold for an hour before a rep picked up. The rep took my address, model and serial number without giving me a case number and put me on hold for another hour and ultimately disconnecting the call.
The service is pathetic and the microwave is unusable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible quality

I was extremely disappointed with this microwave. On the very first day of use, the button to open the door broke. The button is made from a very fragile material, and the quality is extremely poor. It feels like it wasn’t designed to withstand regular use. I expected much more durability from a product like this, but unfortunately, it failed to meet even basic expectations. Would not recommend this microwave to anyone looking for long-lasting quality.

Functions Well, Hate the stop button feature

Functions well...... but that new feature to stop the microwave while it is running is annoying. I have tried to disable it, which it says I can, but I have had no luck. It appears the days of opening the microwave and it stopping on its own is no longer an option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product 1 month ago and it is already broken. The button you push to open this microwave will not open the microwave. You can push it in and it must have lost its spring or something. We got the door open to remove what was being heated. The door will not latch and the light in the microwave will not turn off.
We have done everything required to initiate and replacement...we are still waiting.

I waited for a month for a replacement and first time using it broke with my food inside - can’t get the door open. Now waiting another month for a replacement. Food still inside the microwave.
