Not worth the money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave is fine. However the oven and air fryer are worthless being that I never received the accessories that were to be included. I should have bought a cheap, non brand microwave if that was all I wanted. Terrible customer service too.

Would NOT recommend to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] More complicated than necessary. Pre-progrmed settings that are required to use do not cook foods as stated. Moisture and heat come from the top of door seal and even water droplets come down the glass. The light insight is so dim that looking through the glass is al but useless. I was so excited to get this appliance for the new home we moved into a month ago. What a disappointment. We even bought the trim kit sonic appears "built in"....the trim kit is permanently discolored due to steam and heat from tip of door seal. I do NOT recommend at all and am waiting on builder to help return this under whatever warranty is a available. It doesnt even have 7, 8, or 9 buttons....time must be increased or decreased in pre-programmed increments using non-numeric buttons.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Buyer beware as not all products included

Don't expect this microwave to perform to full potential as it does NOT come with airfry basket or convection oven baking tray 🤔 clearly kitchen aid missed the boat with this product that I paid a pretty penny for and doesn't seem to care that I am not able to receive products that were promised with the microwave purchase. I have tried reaching out numerous times through phone calls and live chats to no avail. Beyond frustrated and will be telling everyone I know that "buyer beware" when it comes to kitchen aid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the main reasons we purchased this microwave was because of the air fryer, but we haven’t yet received the air fryer and baking basket that was promised us So we haven’t used it for that yet. The microwave part of it works okay.

No Multi-function Microwave Oven for Me Again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Back in November 2024, I was looking to replace a microwave oven that had been purchased back in November, 2013, since one of the sensors had failed on the appliance. From the search that I had conducted I found that the majority of the microwaves listed were a multifunction type. My wife and I have owned several KitchenAid appliances over the years (both large & small) and we have had a preference for the KitchenAid brand products because of their durability and functionality. Our oldest KitchenAid (small) appliance was purchased over 32 years ago now, and it is still going strong. Based on that history, I chose to purchase the subject three function KitchenAid microwave oven as our replacement.
The primary reason that I gave a 2 star rating is that not ONE of the three functions for the device, i.e. microwave, air fryer, or baking, performs as well as a separate appliance that is dedicated for that particular function. We already have a separate air fryer and (gas convection) oven.
Issues regarding the microwave function-
● The control panel is not nearly as user friendly as our prior microwave oven. For most every type of food item, a power number and duration period has to be selected accordingly for the particular food item accordingly.
● Even at the highest power setting, the cook times are longer than what was needed for our previous oven; in some cases more than twice as long.
● it seems that somehow operating the cook times may have an affect on the clock time display. Every couple of weeks or so, the clock has to be reset because it is displaying 2" to 3" behind the actual time.
For the air fryer function, fries have to be cooked in two separate batches for what our portable air fryer can hold in order to have them properly cooked through. The baking function does not perform to (my wife's) satisfaction either.
What I find to be the most disappointing however, is that the cost of this multi-function microwave oven was over 2-1/2 times the price of our old single function microwave and it was also nearly the same cost as our KitchenAid dishwasher appliance (even though the dishwasher was purchased over 20 years ago).
All considered, if and when the microwave feature stops functioning, I do not intend to purchase a multi-function microwave oven again. When I do have to purchase a new microwave oven, it will not be a KitchenAid model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
