So far works fine, but.....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The original KithcenAid microwave that was built-in our kitchen 24 years ago was repaired once, about 2 years ago. Then the door wouldn't open, and the repair guy said the part to fix it, is no longer available. We searched the internet and none was found. SO the only reason we chose this one, is becasue of the dimensions and we wanted to match our other kitchen appliances. It works fine so far, but it's the same "push button" door mechanism and we are keeping our fingers crossed. The front face of the microwave definitely looks cheaper than the old one. Shows finger prints, and just doesn't feel as sturdy. We shall we,,,,,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] replaced a kitchen Aid with a Kitchen aid. fortunately it fit in the face plate from 25 years later. the microwave I replaced lasted 25 years. that is why I chose a kitchen aid to replace a kitchen aid.

Don't like the lock feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace the Kitchen Aid microwave we had which was still working but started running when we would open the door without starting it. I was concerned about the radiation. It was installed in the wall cabinet above our oven. So we bought the model closest to one we had before thinking the trim set would still work but the screw holes were off and we had to order a new one.
A couple months ago I noticed the microwave clock had lost time 3 mins. then it became 6 mins, I tried to reset it and It wouldn't let me. Then on October 3rd put a slice of pizza in to warm up, it locked and wouldn't open, the pizza is still there! We did turn our electric breaker off and back on also unplugging it and nothing helped.

Burned up in a matter of 5 uses- would give zero
