This router replaced a much older Asus router that was dated but still working. This RT-AX5400 substantially increased both my internet download and upload speeds and inproved my coverage area and connection strenght. The set-up was easy and straight forward. I appreciate the automatic firmware updates. Great router, I highly recommend to my friends .

To resolve this, check if your iMac's wireless device is working properly and within range to this router. Also, try connecting the iMac manually to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Additionally, we recommend updating this router's firmware if it is running with an older version. Does what I expected it to do with my 1 gig internet plan I got. Wireless range is good, but not great, yet better than what I had before. Set up is pretty straight forward except for doing some of the settings. One would think that now a days a router would come with ipv6 enabled by default. Directions are somewhat confusing, but if you do some surfing, you can get some clarity. I'd give it a 5 star rating if the instructions were more thorough.
