Okay - So Far

I bought this washer and its companion dryer about a month ago, which replaced a Samsung set I had for 11 years. First things first, the dryer has been quite good. Don't have any complaints at this point. The washer on the other hand, has been just okay. The clothes are clean but the instruction manual and interface leaves much to be desired.
The washer is a bit noisy, Sounds like a giant construction machine when going through its cycle. Really not use to that. The spin cycles can lead to shaking the floor but my Samsung pretty much did the same, especially if set to medium or high, so I always use low.
The jury is still out, given I've only had the set since early March 2026. Will see what happens in the coming months.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very happy with our machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We loved our last machine, but it was really old and we needed a new one. At first all the new electronics of today's machines seemed a little overwhelming, but this machine is really easy to use and does a great job.

Steer clear!

After owning a Whirlpool Duet front load washer for many years, I decided to replace it with this Whirlpool model after the machine had run its course. After three weeks of owning this machine, it has NOT met my expectations. When the machine first starts the spin cycle, it shakes excessively and makes a loud banging noise. When running a few loads, I placed a small glass tumbler halfway filled with water and the water actually splashed out of the glass during the spin cycles. After the third service visit, the rubber vibration pads were removed and this has somewhat alleviated the rocking but there is still a banging noise. We think it may be the WP pedestal banging against machine during the spin cycles but haven’t fully confirmed. Note that the newer washing machines EXTEND over the pedestal in the rear, so the machine does not sit squarely on the pedestal. I wish we kept the older pedestal but was led to believe by the retailer that it would not fit the new washer. The newer pedestals are cheaply made compared to the prior models. The Duet model had NONE of these issues which is why I blindly went with Whirlpool again.
Other items to note, Whirlpool customer service (chat and 800 #) is completely ineffective. They will take your name and model number but cannot offer any information regarding the machine. At best, they can only schedule service calls.
The “Owner’s Manual” is a joke. There are no instructions whatsoever regarding the operation of the machine, other than adding detergent. If there is something more instructional out there, I’ve yet to find it.

New washer/dryer

However, the lack of printed operating directions with included translations of symbols was not good. Not all people have access to a computer or learn differently so need/want print!! Also found controls overly sensitive — a mere brush by changes some settings!

Great when it turns on..

I bought this washer and dryer set for an area of my house that doesn’t get much use, maybe 7 months ago tops. They’ve gone through a max of 4-5 cycles. Last month the dryer had an error code that required pulling it away from the wall to reset etc. Today the washer is totally dead. The screen won’t light up or respond at all. No tripped breakers, no faulty wiring or plugs in the wall. Can’t reset it regardless of what instructions I try following. Really irritating that the last 2 attempts to use these machines have created a headache each time. I assume replacing your washer/dryer every few use cycles probably is not a sustainable practice for most consumers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
