We value your time and would like to look into the concerns with your Washer. Excessive vibration or an "out-of-balance" load, common during high-speed spin cycles, causes noise, movement, and negatively impacts washer performance and longevity. The Primary Cause: Unbalanced Load The main source of vibration is uneven laundry distribution. When the load's weight is not centered, the resulting centrifugal force causes: Loud Vibration/Noise: Excessive shaking or thumping. Reduced Spin Speed: Control systems lower speed to protect the machine, resulting in wetter clothes. Longer Cycles: Machine pauses/restarts to attempt load correction. Decreased Performance: Stress on internal components over time. Signs of Unbalance: Loud thumping/clanking, violent shaking or "walking," wet clothes after the cycle, or spin cycle interruption. Washer Self-Correction: Modern washers detect imbalance, add water, gently tumble the load for redistribution, and re-attempt the spin. If unsuccessful after attempts, the cycle terminates, requiring manual redistribution. Preventing Imbalance: Loading and Items Best Loading Practice: Place clothing in loose, evenly distributed heaps around the basket's perimeter. Avoid dumping items in one corner. Heavy/Bulky Items: Large, absorbent items (blankets, rugs) increase vibration risk. Check Labels: Ensure items are suitable for the washer type. "Doughnut" Method: Distribute single, heavy items in a ring shape around the impeller/agitator to center the load. Avoid Single Items: Wash two or three similar, heavy items together for better balancing. Never Overload: Load loosely; clothes should not exceed the top row of holes. Foundational Fix: Ensure Leveling The washer must be perfectly level with all four feet firmly on the floor. Check: Gently rock the washer diagonally; if it moves, it needs adjustment. Consequence: Uneven leveling amplifies minor load imbalances, leading to excessive noise and spin failure. Drain Pan: Ensure leveling legs are adjusted to sit securely and level within the pan. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace my old washer. Have not figured out how to pause to add garments. Also miss the interior light and miss the high spin I had on my Kenmore. Other then that it is ok. We will see how long it lasts.
