[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While this premium priced machine is adequate, it is missing basic features that I came to depend on while owning my Whirlpool Duet HT for 20 years. It is infuriating that there is not an option for PreWash, nor is there space in the detergent drawer for such. Additionally, the “glass” inside the door is a cheap plastic material unlike the substantial glass that was inside my Duet HT.
I would gladly trade the bells and whistles on this machine for the dependable, accommodating washer I left when I moved. To say I am dissatisfied is an understatement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It would be better to ask in a year, three years, five years- you get the idea. How well do they perform and hold up in the long run? With that said, I am happy with this Whirlpool washer and the top reasons I bought it are a reputation for quality and long life and it is American made.

After reading insufficient operating instructions and unable to reach anyone at whirlpool,. dealer offered operational suggestions. No compartment for powdered laundry supplements (Borax). was told to simply dump into drum along with any color safe bleach. Borax caked up on drum seal and door window.
