If the technology seems as promising as Apple's AirTags, it is definitely not. The connection with the chipolo is sometimes lost. I had to proceed to a factory reset to get it back up (thank to the Support Team). However, the Find My Device app is quite inaccurate, and regurlaly shows me the loaction the device had 8 hours. Not very helpful. I don't what is to blame (Chipolo or the buggy Google App), but it is neither a sastifying nor seamless user experience.
The product itself I'm very pleased with but like Batman I prefer black so would be nice to see other color options in the future. I am also hopeful that the Google find my device network will add functionality to this device
The Chipolo ONE Point is a decent Bluetooth tracker that integrates smoothly with the Android "Find My Device" network. It is a little bulky, but lightweight. The setup process through the app is straightforward.
The tracking function isn't very reliable, which I assume is due to the rather small FMD network. I get location updates only every few hours, even on busy location. The alarm sound is loud enough to help locate lost items.
A significant drawback is the lack of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, which other trackers use for more precise short-range tracking. Without UWB, location accuracy is somewhat limited, especially when the tracker is out of Bluetooth range.
Overall, the Chipolo ONE Point is an OK tracker, but the absence of UWB technology and limited android FMD network make it less competitive compared to more advanced trackers on the market.
