A good value product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to receive the Night Owl Surveillance system for 2 reasons. Firstly for securing our home and secondly to be able to see what critters are running around our backyard at night! My husband was very impressed with the value and quality of the system. The DVR has a 1TBHD and 16 channels, so you can add another 10 cameras in addition to the 6 that come with it, if you want to. All the camera cables and connectors come with, so you are ready to install. My husband said installation was straight forward, although crawling around the roof to install the wires was not fun and took several hours. He had seen some suggestions online to setup the DVR and install the Night Owl Protect app on his iPhone before installing the cameras so you can make sure they are all working and then use it to ensure they are correctly angled while installing, and it definitely helped. Once everything was set up on the DVR, it is easy to manage the system through his iPhone and he added me as a user too. The camera resolution is good, night vision extends close to 100ft and the built in spotlights are a great feature. I like that you can switch them off if you want. As mentioned before, this system is good value and perfect for our needs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great system! Crystal clear pictures, and set up was easy enough. The 2 TB storage will be very helpful, and I like that the lights are motion sensitive. I would recommend this security system to anyone who is looking for a good system.

Easy to use!

I decided to go wired this time around. I have an attic, so the installation wasn't too hard at all. The app is easy to use. Now I have that peace of mind that I wanted while away from my home.

The 60 foot cords fit hardwiring that are included were plenty for our application, but longer cords are available as well. The camera instillation was quick as we were able to run the wires outside on the walls. We do have previous experience, so that should be stated. Directions for in wall running of the cords were also included and quite thorough. Where these cameras really shine is the picture quality. Through the app you can check in from anywhere with wifi and see as if you were there. Less than 5 second lag time and alert notifications are helpful. There is no need for monthly plans and fees with the included hard drive. The human detection settings work well, but other things still occasionally trip the light. Overall it’s a great product and was exactly what we needed for keeping an eye remotely on our property.

Amazing features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These 4K Wired Light Cameras are amazing. It comes with 2TB of storage. The installation was not hard at all. It took us a bit to get them installed but nothing an amateur like us couldn’t handle!
You can downloaded an app for more features. This includes being able to disable the lights for indoor use or if you don’t want them on outside for some reason. You can look at real time footage and the best part is it is free to do so! It was been very easy to use.
The picture quality is really good. It captures the details of faces that hopefully you will never have to use, but it makes us feel more secure knowing that our home is being watched when we are away.
I would highly recommend this for anyone needing some extra security around. Really for home or business use. It has been the best camera security system we have had yet! It is a little bit of an investment but I am so happy that it is part of our home security system.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These were relatively easy to install since I already had the wiring preexisting in my home. The directions were very well written and easy to understand. Installation took a few hours, but I was up and running in less time than I anticipated. The video is pretty crisp and impressive. So far, so good. We'll see how they work in the winter with the snow piling up and whether or not the views are obstructed.

I bought this product and have finally had it installed. I have 6 cameras installed because I have a large property. Can keep eyes on livestock and fowl. The video clarity is greater than you could expect. Easy to set up and easy to use and view on mobile phone or computer. I am so happy I got this and I feel Much safer now.
