I've been a faithful OtterBox user for years and the S23U defender version is just as great as ever. My last otter lasted over three years, and kept my old s20 in pristine condition. I love the new 'canyon sun' colorway with its contrast of pink and blue. It is a bit bulky since the S23U is already a big phone, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for the supreme drop protection the defender affords. Fortunately it fits in most of my pockets just fine. I also added a popsocket to the back- it adhered strongly, so if you'll be investing in one know that it grips just fine. I've had mine for three weeks now and have had a few drops-so far so good-I'm confident it will keep my S23U in perfect condition for a few years until my next upgrade. I highly recommend this case if you want the best protection for your new galaxy.
I have used Otter box cases for as long as I can remember. Never had any issues, not even with returns or warranties. I ordered this case because it looks like from the picture it has a screen protector like most of the Otter box cases I have used, I know I should have read more carefully on the features, and that's my fault. It's very misleading, and I know I am not the only one who has had this problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey there, Briana. We apologize for any inconvenience you've had with the Defender Series Pro case for your Galaxy S23 Ultra. You're correct in saying this case doesn't feature a built-in screen protector though. A little while back our engineers removed the built-in screen protector from our Defender Series cases to ensure complete functionality with the newest devices. They redesigned this case in order to provide the same drop protection even without the built-in screen protector. If you're looking for that next level protection, we recommend pairing this case with one of our trusted screen protectors. Please feel free to give our CS team a call at 1-855-688-7269 with any questions or if you'd like to chat about this some more.
