GE Opal produces delicious nugget ice faster than any other machine I’ve used. While it looks sleek on the counter and boasts an impressive storage capacity, that comes at the cost of a sizable portion of your countertop. You’ll definitely hear it working, but it makes more of a steady hum that is not at all distracting. If you’re looking for a premium machine that delivers the best ice and lots of it, this is your machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We recommend ensuring you have a minimum of 4" of air clearance on all sides and back for your Opal. Also make sure the vent openings on the side are not blocked in any way. We recommend using distilled water in your Opal to help reduce the potential for mineral build-up. It is recommended you follow the instructions the Owners Manual for descaling and sanitizing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] GE Profile Opal 2.0 ultra nugget ice maker has the wow factor!! The ice maker was nicely packaged and easy to remove. Once I had it out of the packaging I followed the instructions that made setup very easy! Then the wait began to see those tiny chewable pieces of ice fall. It only took 10 minutes to begin seeing ice! Once the machine completed making and filling up the basket it was time! Needless to say the ice net my expectations and more! Delicious, crunchy and tasty ice filled my cup and my cravings! Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing you will notice is that the design of the Opal 2.0 is very elegant.  And the item comes very well packaged mine was actually missing one of the packing straps, but nothing was damaged inside of the box because of all of the extra foam packaging that was used by GE when packaging this item. After you take about 15 minutes to set up and cleaning the unit for the first time to get it ready for first use, you’ll be surprised with the amazing quality of ice that it produces and it only takes about another 20 minutes to do so I was stunned the texture of the icefeels when you are chewing on it I would 100% recommend this item if you were looking for an icemaker
