[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] GE Profile Opal 2.0 ultra nugget ice maker has the wow factor!! The ice maker was nicely packaged and easy to remove. Once I had it out of the packaging I followed the instructions that made setup very easy! Then the wait began to see those tiny chewable pieces of ice fall. It only took 10 minutes to begin seeing ice! Once the machine completed making and filling up the basket it was time! Needless to say the ice net my expectations and more! Delicious, crunchy and tasty ice filled my cup and my cravings! Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing you will notice is that the design of the Opal 2.0 is very elegant.  And the item comes very well packaged mine was actually missing one of the packing straps, but nothing was damaged inside of the box because of all of the extra foam packaging that was used by GE when packaging this item. After you take about 15 minutes to set up and cleaning the unit for the first time to get it ready for first use, you’ll be surprised with the amazing quality of ice that it produces and it only takes about another 20 minutes to do so I was stunned the texture of the icefeels when you are chewing on it I would 100% recommend this item if you were looking for an icemaker

Soft, chewy Sonic/chic fil a Ice right at home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new Ice maker! Its the Ice maker of the future. The set up was extremely easy and it comes with all the cleaning instructions necessary. I love the side tank option that makes a full batch without having to refill it. The machine is very quiet too. I tend to forget that i left it running. But thats where the SmartHQ app comes in. It allows you to set the schedule that works for you so u can have a fresh batch of ice ready for you before even waking up. The texture of the ice is perfect to enjoy with any drink, from plain water to coffee, to juices/cocktails or even the ones that enjoy chewing ice.
I also love that you can place the side tank on either side you want, same with the ice scoop since its magnetic.
I am still in the trial and error phase with this, ive noticed the ice doesnt prepare itself as fast as id like for it to be so i moved it to a little cooler area of the kitchen hopefully that fixes it.
I would recommend wiping it down and letting it air dry to reduce having to deep clean often.
Overall- would recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Where to begin!? Initially, I was supposed to receive the GE Profile Opal 2.0 Nugget Ice Maker, which is an older model. However, I was fortunate enough to be gifted the new and improved model, the Opal 2.0 ULTRA, which was just released this year, courtesy of Influenster! Therefore, I am absolutely grateful because I have wanted an ice maker like this for quite some time.
My first impression: this machine is beautiful. The stainless steel exterior is definitely eye-catching. The setup was initially a bit difficult for me as I prefer watching videos to install most things, but I managed to figure it out. I found that you don't actually need to use the side tank if you don't require a large amount of ice.
The machine itself is not too loud, which is certainly a plus. At first, I felt that the machine was taking a bit long to make ice, but I soon learned that it makes 1.6 lbs of ice every hour and 38 lbs every day. The speed is actually pretty good for normal use. The ice is really nice, perfectly chewable, and amazing for iced coffee, cocktails, soft drinks—you name it!
I love the fact that the machine is Wi-Fi compatible. You can use the Smart HQ mobile application to schedule when you want the machine to make ice, and the application also informs you about things like when you need to change the water filter, whether the machine is on, when the light is on, etc.
All in all, the GE Profile Opal 2.0 ULTRA Nugget Ice Maker is phenomenal. I would highly recommend this investment to anyone looking to buy an ice maker!
