Love the clicking of the keys

I love the concept but it still needs a little work.. I was always a fan of a physical keyboard on a phone so I jumped on the opportunity to get this case as soon as I was able to order it for my particular iPhone model. It does make my iPhone 14 Pro Max extra huge but that part is not a deal breaker. The part that is becoming increasingly annoying is that there is a lag when I go to type. When I go to my texts (or any messenger) I tap to place the curser on the message space and I start to type but the letters don't show. So I start typing again and that's when all the previous letters I typed show up and I have to delete and start over. I just received this case two days ago and have been trying to give it the benefit of the doubt but if this isn't something that can be fixed with firmware, I will be returning it within my 30 days.
The case also adds unnecessary (and random) spaces when I am typing a sentence or adding punctuation. And the virtual keyboard pops up randomly when I get to a spot I'm am going to type and I have to hide the virtual keyboard by pushing the dedicated keyboard button.
I will be returning the case.

Reality Couldn't Match Potential

Loved the idea of the keyboard and the potential of having a keyboard again. After a couple of weeks with it though, it just wasn't worth the price.
Issues I had -
Buttons were too small. Smaller than the on-screen keyboard, maybe about 2/3s the size. Typos were an ongoing issues.

Having to look at keyboard when typing caused me to not be able to see the screen. There are bumps on J and F like a traditional keyboard. But there's no way to use home row typing with only thumbs. This required me to look at the keyboard when I'm typing, instead of being able to see the screen, making typos more problematic.
Autofill prompts - when using the keyboard, no autofills prompts would appear. This includes the passwords (both iOS and 3rd party), address, email address, etc. Discord says this is partially fixed in the iOS 18 beta, but didn't install beta to confirm.
Length/weight distribution - phone became too long (using the 14 Pro Max). Couldn't find a comfortable way to hold the phone while typing. Resting on the pinkies was just uncomfortable for any amount of time.
Keyboard shortcuts - I have the magic keyboard for my iPad. On the Magic keyboard CMD-A works in all apps (books, safari, text, email, etc). Using Clicks, the shortcut was hit and miss across 3rd party apps, with it usually being a miss. Other things like holding down CMD to see what keyboard shortcuts are available using the Magic keyboard but not Clicks.

My Blackberry Itch Is Scratched!

I absolutely love my Clicks. It is already my second one as my Founders Edition was lost with my iPhone 15 ProMax.
It is awesome in every way... but if I was forced to offer a critique, it would simply be that a product like this would likely better be paired with an iPhone mini, as I find the ProMax is a tad 'top heavy' to hold comfortably. I guarantee that when I eventually upgrade the 14 ProMax I am currently using... a new 'Clicks' will be a must have accessory.

Disappointed

The case felt sturdy but holding and typing was tough.I really wanted to like it but it’s just too top heavy to hold low and type with 2 hands. Holding in one hand and typing with the other is OK but slow. Played with it for about 4 hours the first night. After that I plugged in my cord to charge it and couldn’t get it to charge. Took the case off and on several times, didn’t work. Tried it on my wife’s phone….no luck either. I asked to return the case. Was told I would lose the initial shipping cost, had the pay to send it back and also would have to pay a restock fee to return. Restock a defective device??? Website doesn’t say anything about a restock fee for returns let alone defective cases. Ok, well take it for what its worth, if your case doesn’t work it will cost you.

Writing this review on my Clicks right now. As someone who grew up with a BlackBerry and missed the feeling of physical keys, Clicks has been amazing! I don’t want to use my phone without it now.

Keyboard not working

I had fun using this but for less than a week, my keyboard doe snot work anymore. I waited for it for a long time and it now does not work. I tried restarting my phone but still not working. I know its not the lighting issue because the pass through charging function still works. Im so disappointed.

Its so good!

I avoided getting a Blackberry for as long as I could and then got given one in my job. I fell in love with it and became so fast on the keyboard. When the first iPhone came out, I swopped to it, but despite it being amazing, I did go back to Blackberry after six months or so, down to the keyboard. Then, Blackberry disappeared, and I had no choice but to get used to the iPhone. Anyway, I am now firmly in the iPhone camp and can't see myself ever-changing, but adding this keyboard case has made the iPhone even better. I love using it, and I'm getting faster at typing again; the other big plus is that I'm so much more accurate than a virtual keyboard. Things I hope for in a future version is a notification light and support for Carplay through the case.
