I have used Cuisinart toasters for years because they are heavy duty and have a solid feel to them. I basically like this one but it doesn't have the solid feel to it. It rattles alittle and the does toast but at the darkest setting for waffles it is just a light toast. I got it because of the brand name and the multiple setting options and will continue to use it but have concerns it won't last as long as previous models.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great toaster and features. The only thing I take a little issue with is the electric cord which is very stiff/rigid. The previous model we had the cord was very pliable.
