Like the Cuisinart but two toasters failed to work

I chose Cuisinart due to its good reputation. However, I have now purchased two different Cuisinart toasters and both failed to work properly after a couple weeks. The first toaster was a less expensive Cuisinart and the toaster quit working because the lever failed to engage. The second toaster was a more expensive one and it too failed to work properly. This toaster has more settings. It had a one slice chose which stopped working properly. Returned without any problems. Went to another brand which is still working. Sorry the Cuisinart failed to work properly.

We took the first toaster back to the store because it left about a half inch at the bottom of the bread untoasted. Unfortunately, the second one is doing the same. We will have to return it and find another brand. Very disappointing.

Ejector mechanism won’t lock after almost just a month of usage. Very disappointing to say the least. I expected a lot more from cuisinart quality wise.

Toaster failed in about 2 weeks. The lever to move the toast up and down would not stay down. Toaster returned for credit. Another brand was purchased.

Not working properly when I received. I had read other reviews saying that one side of the heating element in one of the slots did not toast. That that wouldn’t happen again!?! Wrong. First piece of toast was burned on one side and not toasted on other. Very disappointed and returned.

The placement of the cord is strange. It is on the same end as the controls. So when I plug in the toaster the controls are away from me so I can't see them. Bad placement of cord.
