Would not recommend this product. Have owned it for a month. The first week only made toast with it and it was ok. The following week used it for toasting bagels and English muffins. So far so good. After that it would not toast regular white bread well. One side of the bread was only slightly brown and the other side was completely untoasted. That was with the selector dial set to toast and the darkness lever three quarters to the dark side. Also, that knob on the darkness slide now flops around as if it's going to fall off at any moment.
The purchase of this toaster was a waste of money.

We like everything about it, especially the defrost feature. We don’t eat a lot of bread so we keep the loaf in the freezer. Now we take out just the slices we want and the bread comes out perfectly soft for sandwiches.
