It works well, with many choices for darkness of toasting, most of which I haven't even used yet. I just used 1 to 3 so far. I like having a special setting for a single item and the defrost selection. Plus, I really like the simple design, all stainless. In addition, it doesn't take up too much space on my counter.

Out of the toasters I have owned in my life this is the first one that has toasted evenly when following the instructions and experimenting until you get it adjusted to your liking. It is built well and does what it advertises it will do. It is sturdy all metal construction and I own several Cuisinart appliances and all are of excellent quality. I recommend this toaster to anyone who is looking to buy one.

After limited use our new Cuisinart toaster started to toast only one side of the toast. The center heating element wasn’t working. This is the same problem we had with our last Cuisinart toaster. Note that we replaced our previous Cuisinart toaster with the same model Cuisinart toaster.

Single slice option does not do what it says in manual. Turns off one side in each slot. In normal use does not toast evenly side to side , see pictures

The cord is short, might be a problem for you, just an annoyance for me. The top part of a slice of bread doesn’t always toast as much as the bottom. Seem a lot of Pepperidge Farm and Brownberry slices are a little wider, resulting in uneven toasting. The lever and dials seem cheaply made. It’s a toaster, it was relatively cheap, I might buy it again but just as easily I could look for a better product.

Dear Sirs, Sorry, but I had a problem with the toaster just less than two weeks after purchase. The grill where you insert the bread has wide spaces, so, since the bread slice I put in was the first of the bread loaf, it was smaller and while I was trying to take it out it split and one piece fell through the opening of the grill. I just couldn't in any way taking it out. I even unscrewed the bottom of the toaster, but it didn't allowed me to reach the inside to remove the bread slice. Now I cannot use the toast since the grill cannot be pushed down to the bottom.
I will have to return the toaster.... I'm so disappointed!
