I've always purchased the least expensive toaster I could find, and replaced them with some frequency. However, after emptying my father's house for sale, I saw his 20 year old Cuisinart and thought, I wonder if I have been spending more for less quality? This morning's bagel, perfectly toasted, confirmed that I made the right choice!

Very nice toaster. It took a while to figure out which setting to use for our various frozen items because of all the settings: bagel, waffle, toast, etc. also single. And defrost.

We purchased this Cuisinart model toaster less than a year ago. The center heating element quit working. The one we recently received was a replacment. Cuisinart has gone cheap, like all other brands. Sad.
