Touch surface is garbage. What is so hard about putting knob controls on an appliance!!!!!!! #######!!! $!$!$!_&#-#. One little splash of water or splatter of grease and you can't control the cook top. For the live of God!!!!!!!!!! Put knobs on your crappy appliances!!!!!

flaws in design overwhelm otherwise great oven
on October 22, 2025

Updating my own review of this oven--terrible design trumps tech...
I like Frigidaire. I have had many Frigidaire appliances, and this is the first one I've gotten rid of in less than a year. I couldn't even sell it, because the flaws make it essentially unusable.

It's really a shame. The oven is large and great; the actual induction technology superb. But though the design is pretty, it inhibits cooking. That's a very big flaw and it finally drove me nuts.
First, the touch screen turns off if the slightest bit of moisture lands on it. As in a drop of moisture, or a slightly damp hand. When I cook, I'm constantly washing my hands. Moist hands should not stop your range from working.
Secondly, the touch screen takes up way too much space on the cooktop. I literally could not fit three pans on the cooktop. Insane. If you don't "stay behind the line" the range doesn't work.
Finally, the whole thing needed to be rebooted (literally turned off and on again) just to maintain the timer, of all things. The cooking display (with the timers) started to fail, and only a reboot fixed it. Cutting power to a range is not something I've ever needed to do before, and I hope I won't have to again.
This is unacceptable in a "professional" range with a high price. I feel really quite cheated by Frigidaire on this range. I've gotten rid of the thing and won't buy another Frigidaire again.

Hi Jhrcdn_2! Thank you for taking the time to update your review and share such detailed feedback. First, I want to sincerely apologize that your experience with this range did not meet the high standards you’ve come to expect from Frigidaire. I completely understand your frustration, especially as a longtime Frigidaire customer when a product’s design and functionality don’t align with your needs in the kitchen.

We appreciate your acknowledgment of the induction technology and the oven’s size, but we also recognize that the touch screen issues, spacing limitations, and need for rebooting are significant concerns. Your point about moisture affecting the touch screen and the challenge of using multiple pans simultaneously is particularly helpful; this is the type of feedback that we share directly with our design and engineering teams to help improve future models.

While I understand you’ve already moved on from this range, we genuinely regret the inconvenience it caused and your resulting disappointment. If you’d like, our Customer Support team (1-800-265-8352, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. ET) is available to discuss your experience further and explore if any solutions or alternatives could help address your concerns.

Thank you again for your honesty and for being a loyal Frigidaire customer. Your insights are invaluable in helping us create better products, and we’re truly sorry that this range fell short of your expectations. - Maico

Sleek and practical design

Once you get patience to wait for the temperature buttons to activate on the induction stovetop, it's very good. The boost function is scary fast boiling. Have found it all easy to use.
The vertical stove display requires you to bend down to read, but you get used to it.

Very impressive. Almost perfect. Just a couple small nitpicks.

Great stove. Great cooktop. Sharp looks. Lots of pluses only a couple minor things.
Pros:
Cooktop is pretty great. I’ve used induction before (my mother swears by hers) and the cooktop has not disappointed yet. Not only wicked fast heat up compared to our old electric glasstop, but I actually feel more in control then I ever did on traditional electric stovetops. Temp changes feel instant and responsive. I thought I would feel limited without the knob and all the “infinite” temp control, but that was an illusion. I feel great with the 1-9 levels plus power boil. A dealbreaker for my wife was the “caulking ring” around most modern stove tops that seems to collect crumbs and resists easy cleaning. This is one of the few models we with a full, edge-to-edge glass top (left to right). I was skeptical of her demand at first, but I am a believer now; it does make cleaning it much easier.
Oven heats up much faster then our old one. Only used it a bit so far, and have not taken advantage of the air fry yet, but pleased so far. The dual timers are handy and convenient to activate.
Looks great. Stainless finish is great. Love the pro feeling of the straight oven door handle (nicer than the cheaper feeling swooped handles on other brands). Glass top looks extra sharp. Tip: use 1:1 water & vinegar spray solution to clean the streaks. You’ll thank me later.
Cons:
None of these are dealbreakers for us, but you may feel otherwise.
Stovetop controls are not as responsive as I would like. I think this is purposeful to reduce the possibility of mistakes, but you need to hold your finger in place to register 1-2 seconds for each button push. Just a bit annoying.
Stovetop controls take up the bottom 1/5 of the stovetop. In theory, not an issue, but the problem comes when you want to place something… anything, on that space, even when it’s turned off and locked. The stove will start beeping at you, warning that there is something on the control surface. If you absentmindedly set things on your stovetop while working in the kitchen, it gets annoying fast. Requires habit retraining.
The oven controls are… kinda odd. Dual knobs look nice, but they don’t feel very reactive. You need to select the mode with the left knob, and the temperature with the right. The temp knob changes the digital display by 25deg increments, and as your turning it, it seems to take more turning then is intuitive. Just feels like the digital display and the analog knob are not quite in sync. Then, there is no start button. You just quit turning the knob when the temperature on the screen is what you want… then wait. After a second or two it will beep and start preheating. I’d personally rather have a start button to begin preheating.
BUT if you happen to spin the temp knob all the way around to the “off” position again suddenly the display will say “- - -“ and it won’t let you select a temperature anymore. The temp knob literally won’t work. You have to turn the oven “off” and “on” again on the left knob and restart the temp selection. It’s an odd user interface choice that doesn’t really make sense imo, but it’s pretty easy to avoid.
The other thing I don’t like about the oven controls is the screen is obscured by an overhang if you are standing within a foot or two of the oven (I’m 5’11”) so I have to hunch over and/or lean back to see the temperature when setting it. Just another annoying design choice that could have been thought out better.
But otherwise, it’s been a welcome upgrade in our home. Would recommend.
