The digital touch screen limits cooktop work space - be aware!

I don't believe that you can truly review a product until you have used it for a while and I have been using this product for 5 months and wish now that I had made a different choice. This is a high quality product - no question and the convection oven is fantastic. I previously had a gas appliance and I'm very happy to switch to induction, but I am just so frustrated with the induction cooktop because of the digital touch feature. This was new to me so you don't know what you don't know and I should have chosen a model with the buttons on the front vs the digital touch feature on the top. This digital touch reduces your cooktop work space VERY significantly. You cannot have any pots overlap the line or the whole unit shuts down. Tonight I tried to cook with three reasonably sized pots and pans and just managed to cook my meal but every time my frying pan shifted a bit in front of the line, the whole unit shuts down. If your fingers are slightly wet, the digital display won't work. And if you are using the stove top and want to pull a cookie sheet out to do a quick stir and rest it on the front third of the cooktop - it screams at you and shuts down. For reference, my previous stove was a Frigidaire Professional Gas stove that I had for 18 years and I loved it so much that I wanted the same one again with induction. I would recommend this product but just choose a model with the knobs on the front.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you’re enjoying the convection oven and overall quality, but we’re sorry to hear about the challenges with the digital touch feature. To optimize your experience, ensure cookware is centered within the marked cooking zones and matches their size, as overlapping or improper placement may trigger the safety shut-off. Keep the control area clean and dry, as moisture can affect responsiveness, and avoid placing items like cookie sheets on the controls while cooking. When stirring or shifting cookware, try to keep pots within their zones to prevent disruptions. If you have further concerns or need assistance, please connect with us via Live Chat or call us at 1-800-265-8352, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–8 p.m. EDT. We appreciate your feedback and hope these tips improve your experience!

flaws in design overwhelm otherwise great oven
on October 22, 2025

Updating my own review of this oven--terrible design trumps tech...
I like Frigidaire. I have had many Frigidaire appliances, and this is the first one I've gotten rid of in less than a year. I couldn't even sell it, because the flaws make it essentially unusable.
It's really a shame. The oven is large and great; the actual induction technology superb. But though the design is pretty, it inhibits cooking. That's a very big flaw and it finally drove me nuts.
First, the touch screen turns off if the slightest bit of moisture lands on it. As in a drop of moisture, or a slightly damp hand. When I cook, I'm constantly washing my hands. Moist hands should not stop your range from working.
Secondly, the touch screen takes up way too much space on the cooktop. I literally could not fit three pans on the cooktop. Insane. If you don't "stay behind the line" the range doesn't work.
Finally, the whole thing needed to be rebooted (literally turned off and on again) just to maintain the timer, of all things. The cooking display (with the timers) started to fail, and only a reboot fixed it. Cutting power to a range is not something I've ever needed to do before, and I hope I won't have to again.
This is unacceptable in a "professional" range with a high price. I feel really quite cheated by Frigidaire on this range. I've gotten rid of the thing and won't buy another Frigidaire again.

Hi Jhrcdn_2! Thank you for taking the time to update your review and share such detailed feedback. First, I want to sincerely apologize that your experience with this range did not meet the high standards you’ve come to expect from Frigidaire. I completely understand your frustration, especially as a longtime Frigidaire customer when a product’s design and functionality don’t align with your needs in the kitchen.
We appreciate your acknowledgment of the induction technology and the oven’s size, but we also recognize that the touch screen issues, spacing limitations, and need for rebooting are significant concerns. Your point about moisture affecting the touch screen and the challenge of using multiple pans simultaneously is particularly helpful; this is the type of feedback that we share directly with our design and engineering teams to help improve future models.
While I understand you’ve already moved on from this range, we genuinely regret the inconvenience it caused and your resulting disappointment. If you’d like, our Customer Support team (1-800-265-8352, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. ET) is available to discuss your experience further and explore if any solutions or alternatives could help address your concerns.
Thank you again for your honesty and for being a loyal Frigidaire customer. Your insights are invaluable in helping us create better products, and we’re truly sorry that this range fell short of your expectations. - Maico

Nice but significant functional flaws
on April 10, 2026
Posted by: sogamom
The induction cooktop is a beautiful piece of machinery and works incredibly fast. However, for a "professional" grade appliance at this price point, several design and functional issues are disappointing:
User Interface: The text on the oven knobs is far too small and difficult to read.
Software/Logic Issues: The range struggled to switch between features (e.g., from bake to broil) and frequently malfunctioned. It specifically got "confused" when trying to use the Steam feature, making that function completely unusable.
Performance: The oven takes an unexpectedly long time to preheat.
Maintenance & Build: The Steam feature (which requires adding water to the oven floor) created a significant mess. Additionally, the racks are difficult to adjust; one actually got stuck at the top and scratched the interior lining. I had to call for service immediately after purchase. You would expect these details to be better refined for a high-end model.

Glitchy
on December 7, 2024

This is my second model. I ended up returning the first one (extreme lag, it would randomly shut off). After doing a lot of research, I settled on this one again. It was mostly okay. The stove top clicks in one section when you press on it, but it works. This past week, the oven panel started to lag like the last one. I attempt to put on the timer, but its not responding as it should. I go to use it this morning and now the child lock will not come off due to this problem. Ill have to "reset" it by pulling the breaker and cutting power off to it. I don't believe I should have to do this to my stove/oven to make it work.

Great oven, good stovetop marred by quality issues
on January 18, 2025

The oven is fantastic. The stovetop isn’t super reliable, I’ve had to reset it by turning off our breakers. I’m concerned I’ll need warranty service soon enough. The auto off feature is sometimes annoying as you may move a pot of the heat for a moment and then move it back but have to turn the stove back on and set the temperature controls again.

lots of problems
on February 8, 2025
Posted by: cjzm
Ive had this range for a couple of weeks. There are so many problems with it I wish we could return it.
Temperature control: The oven temperature is all over the place. The other day I had it set to 425F and my certified digital SquareDot thermometer registered the oven temperature as high as 493F before it started to come down a bit and settle on about 460F. The digital thermometer's probe I used has a rack mount and it was mounted to the rack in the middle of the oven.
The two knobs: The mode knob has very poor action and will sometimes sit between settings. I have to wiggle it a bit for it to engage the selected mode. Sometimes when the mode is selected the temperature know will do nothing. I then have to turn the mode back to off and try again and sometimes it will take several attempts before I can actually get the oven to set a temperature and start operating. These two knobs function like they were on a 30 year old, heavily used appliance. In addition the labeling for the knobs is only clear in bright daylight, the words get very difficult to see if the kitchen is a bit darker. The blue accent light around the knob reflects off the wording making the sometimes near impossible to see.
Control panel: First the control panel is low on the front and sits under a lip from the stovetop. I'm six foot tall and I have to stand over three feet away to see the see the time without bending down. If the oven is on or one of the two timers is running and you are working on the stove it is super easy to touch your leg against the controls and turn off the timer. To make this worse this range beeps for all kinds of things, but the only time it doesn't beep is when the timer is turned off.
Self Clean disaster: I did a self clean after a messing airfry of chicken wings. The self clean scorched the entire inside of the glass and a lot of the rest of the interior. We've spend hours trying to clean just the glass from this self clean function but we've only managed to clear half of it so far.
Stove controls: the induction stove works very well and the boost is very fast. I have not tried linking two elements yet but that is something I will rarely use. The controls on the other hand are clumsy and very slow to respond.
So far I truly regret buying this range. Im not sure what I can do about it. We have a Frigidaire Pro microwave/convection-wall-oven installed right beside this new range which is why we got this range.
