The very first cup was heavenly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is so beautiful right out of the box that I didn’t even want to use it and dirty it up. Everything was so carefully packaged that it was perfect from top to bottom. For context: his is my first espresso machine and I am not nor have I ever been a barista. It took a bit for me to set up but the online tutorial was immensely helpful. My first latte was SO good. So smooth and delicious that I didn’t have to add a thing to it. I had no idea I could make coffee that tasted like that at home. It was better than my normal Starbucks.
There are lots of customizations like temperature, grind, etc. I’m not familiar enough to know what the changes do yet, but again, the tutorial was so helpful. The one thing I haven’t figured out is the pressure gauge. It doesn’t move at all. I’m not sure if it’s broken or user error but I haven’t figured it out yet.
I feel so fancy with this machine and it makes me want to learn how to make ALL the yummy drinks. I love it!!!

Tastes great but takes some time to learn!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this espresso machine but there’s a bit of a learning curve! I thought it would be pretty simple to use, however, to pull an espresso that has crema on top takes a bit of practice. Even if you read the instructions and watch video tutorials. The first couple of times I did it the shots didn’t have any crema on top. Eventually when I learned how to better compact the grounds, I started to get the crema like they have in their photos. However, the espresso shots still tasted good to me even if it doesn’t have the crema, but if you’re looking to get the most from the machine it does take a lot of practice. I like that the machine has a coffee bean grinder, because it makes it easy to grind the perfect amount that you need each use. I also really enjoy the milk frother and turning my espresso shots into lattes! I would say if you’re willing to put in the work to learn this machine, then it’s definitely worth getting! My coffee tastes so much better now than what I was previously having in the morning.

I had no experience pulling shots before, but the included manual made me feel comfortable to give it a shot. After a few grind adjustments I’m making the best lattes I’ve ever had! The built-in burr grinder is quiet and produces even grounds. Customization is great, with grind size, dosing, temperature presets. It will take some trial and error to get everything perfect, but once dialed the machine is very consistent. Brewing is smooth and stable, with good crema, though frequent bean changes need re-tuning and the steam wand is serviceable but not powerful. Cleaning is a breeze with removable parts. Everything feels like great quality, lots of stainless steel! Overall, it’s a quiet, user-friendly choice for home baristas who want quality espresso without a bunch of seprate equipment!

Easy to use espresso machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say, the KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine with Burr Grinder has totally upgraded my mornings! As a busy working mom and wife, my days start early and move fast, but this machine makes that first cup of coffee feel like a little luxury. The built in grinder is amazing; the coffee always tastes so fresh, and I love that I can customize the grind and strength depending on my mood (or how much sleep I got 😅).
It’s sleek, sturdy, and actually looks beautiful sitting on my counter — definitely gives off “mini café at home” vibes. Once I got the hang of it, making espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos was super easy, and the results taste just as good (if not better) than my usual coffee shop runs.
The only tiny downside is that cleanup can take a few extra minutes when I’m in a rush, but honestly, the coffee is worth it. It’s made my mornings calmer and a lot more enjoyable. The milk frother is also a bit loud, but using it is optional.
Overall, I’ve really enjoyed this espresso machine. It was easy to set up and use as there is a QR code to scan which gives you video tutorials. It definitely takes practice using this machine, but so worth it! Give yourself time to set this up, it will be worth it to take a few extra minutes with this.
