Defective product that doesn’t function

Christmas gift that didn’t function. Total bummer. After hours of trying to get this machine to work it’s totally defective. Extremely unhappy and disappointed. Hoping the return process will be ok although they are not open on the weekend so it’s not starting off well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Coffee House Quality in My House

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Semi Automatic Espresso Machine with Burr Grinder about a month ago. The instructions booklet could use some work. I had trouble finding the tray with some of the parts and the directions didn’t always show the next step clearly. In spite of this and with zero experience with espresso machines, I figured out how to grind the beans, brew the espresso, and steam the milk. I’m still working on the settings for the ultimate espresso but the results so far have been great. I’ve tried several of the recipes in the booklet and a few from internet searches with great results. It’s time to invite friends over for coffee and pastries. As any espresso machine would, this one makes noise during its various processes, so be warned if you’re making morning coffee and have light sleepers. I think this a great start for a first espresso machine.

I have had this machine for 6-7 months and it started leaking on the bottom. It is extremely unfortunate considering the price tag. I have tried some troubleshooting steps but haven’t had any luck. I will be looking for a full refund.

Easy for a beginner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my husband and I have been looking into getting an espresso machine for some time now and I'm so happy kitchaid released theirs when we were ready to buy! we wanted one with the grinder included and have been so happy with ours. it took a few tries to get it right but the instructions are clear and the machine is so easy to use. we LOVE it and are now coffee from home people :)

Poor Quality Control and Inlet Valve/Pump Design!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After exchanging the machine twice due to leaking issues, the third time proved no charm. I reluctantly made the decision to return the third machine rather than exchange it for another one. The third machine had actually lasted quite a while before the leaking began. I really did enjoy the quiet operation of the burr grinder and the machine did produce a good espresso. But leaking, especially on three different machines, is a quality control issue that the consumer is now having to deal with. Unacceptable. The inlet valve and pump on this machine needs reevaluation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this machine awhile….The first one had a glitch in the espresso stream, but it was replaced promptly and hassle free. I am impressed with the quality of the shots. I also like that you can customize the amount of water you want to use when adding to your shots…This machine is very user friendly and makes a great espresso…Highly recommend for the price!
