Very quick, very consistent cup every time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first espresso machine, previously I was using a nespresso machine and this is so much better. The flavor is so so much better thanks to the freshly ground beans from the burr machine. I will never need to go to a coffee shop again. I was intimated at first knowing nothing about espresso makers but this is so user friendly. The machine does all of the hard work for you yet you still can customize the drink just how you want. My advise would be to set it up and test it out on a day where you aren’t needing to use it for your caffeine fix. Follow the instructions and you will be golden but I did it on a morning before any caffeine and it would have been much faster if I had a clear mind!

Best coffee we’ve ever had!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everyone that has tried this coffee maker has said it makes the best coffee ever. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and looks great on the counter. It seems very high quality and we all enjoy using it! Only thing I would be aware of is that the steam/frother is very loud inside of the stainless steel cup. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a full service coffee machine.

KitchenAid has long been hailed as a reliable household brand and this espresso machine is no different. It makes a delicious and smooth espresso in just a few minutes. It’s very easy to use, once you start. It came with all the necessary equipment and is compact enough that it doesn’t take up a ton of space. The machine itself is well made, and probably doesn’t need to be cleaned after every use, but I do that due to my own personal preference. It looks nice in my kitchen and is a light stainless steel that blends well with my other appliances.

Amazing coffee with a little practice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first experience using an espresso machine. The machine seems well-built. The brewing quality gets better the more I use it & adjust the settings. It’s relatively easy to clean. I have been a bit confused about some of the instructions or lack thereof, so I had to do a little research. At first, I thought I was missing parts. They were in a tray behind the drip tray, but I didn’t see any reference in the booklets. I could see the tray but didn’t know how to get it out. Clarification in the docs would be helpful. The price seems expensive, but using this regularly instead of buying from coffee shops may end up costing less in the end. The flavor, quality, and customization of drinks at home can’t be beat by any other coffee maker I’ve owned. I look at my old coffee maker and wonder who would want it.

I received this semi-automatic espresso machine in a beautiful brushed stainless steel color. It comes with a burr grinder, a hot water spout, AND a steam wand. It also comes with a porta filter, 4 filter baskets, a commercial-grade tamper, and a stainless steal milk pitcher. The water tank is XL (2.5L), and comes with a handle for easy removal/carrying to the sink for refills. Similarly, the bean hopper is easy to remove to refill with fresh beans. It is clear that this machine was designed for easy cleaning and maintanance.
It is a good-performing machine. Water temperature can be adjusted to 3 different settings, as well as 2 settings for volume. Grind size can be adjusted from coarse to fine, depending on your preference. There is also a grind amount knob for adjusting the dose and ground amount, which I still haven’t been able to figure out. The machine claims to have smart dosing technology, but so far I have relied on manually dosing the amount of grounds. No matter how small I set the dose to, the machine still grinds the beans until I push the button to stop it. I’ll come back with an edit if I figure out what’s not working.
Now, the pressure gauge is difficult to please. I have found myself in the under extraction range over and over. And when I do hit the “sweet spot,” I make sure to leave the settings as they are, but the quality of the espresso is not the same. Again, I will come back with an edit once I figure this out.
Overall, this machine makes great-tasting coffee, assuming you are using good espresso beans. The semi-automatic settings are great for coffee aficionados (and for those who want to learn more about it.) I’m unsure about the value for the price since I got this machine for free in exchange for an honest review and I haven’t seen the price tag on this. However, KitchenAid is an amazing brand and I’m sure that, with proper care, I’ll keep this machine for many years.

Definitely helps to have the directions on hand until you're used to it. It's very hefty so you won't be moving it around much. Very good brew!

It's Very quiet, Offers a whole coffee bean grinder for optimum freshness. Did take a couple of different grinding settings for the perfect cup. Also has a steaming function for froth milk to put on top of your espresso. Also offers boiling hot water function for tea and hot chocolate.
