Very solidly built. It worked great out of the box. Moving the gas to outside of the frame makes it so much eais er to install than on my grill where its inside the cabinet and lower. The griddle has been easy to keep clean so far. It heats evenly across the griddle. My one gripe so far is the griddle itself is very futzy to get settled into the 4 mounting holes. It got cocked slightly twice and I cooked on it. My son and I got it in place after that. A suggested fix would be to make the holes a 1/16 of an inch bigger.

This Weber slate griddle is amazing. The attention to detail really makes it stand above. I went with Weber because of the features, and also because I have had one of their grills for 12 years now, and it has held up really well. The build quality on the griddle seems just as good as the grill I have, so I expect it to hold up just as well.
The extra fold out side table they added is actually really nice. I thought it might be gimmicky, but I use it every single time I cook on the griddle.
Overall, I am so happy I bought this Weber griddle. I cook on it all the time and really enjoy the experience.
Make sure the buy the caddy and the smash burger press, they both make things easier.

Don't think twice about it. Worth every penny for the consistent cooktop temperature, no rust, and easy cleaning. Get bigger than what you think you need. My kids love to cook on it too.

My experience using the weber 36 inch slate is nothing but amazing, I had my two brothers in law over my house and we were amazed of how roomy and easy to cook is, of course the accessories make them even easier to use, definitely I’ll never chose another flat top over this !!!

The instructions weren't really clear but figured out everything. Everything has worked great since we got it put together and running. It cooks great, no hot spots and easy to control the temp. Worth the money for sure. Quality is excellent..... so far after a couple months of use.
