This Weber slate griddle is amazing. The attention to detail really makes it stand above. I went with Weber because of the features, and also because I have had one of their grills for 12 years now, and it has held up really well. The build quality on the griddle seems just as good as the grill I have, so I expect it to hold up just as well.
The extra fold out side table they added is actually really nice. I thought it might be gimmicky, but I use it every single time I cook on the griddle.
Overall, I am so happy I bought this Weber griddle. I cook on it all the time and really enjoy the experience.
Make sure the buy the caddy and the smash burger press, they both make things easier.
My first full sized griddle and extremely impressed. The cooking surface is huge and handles all of the dishes I previously struggled to not make a mess cooking on a traditional stove. Assembly was straight forward and timely. I seasoned my grill despite it coming ready to cook. I use it approximately every third day and really enjoy finding new recipe suggestions. Top-notch smash burgers, fried rice, chicken fajitas, cheesesteak sandwiches, and Mongolian Beef are all a hit with the family. Clean up is easy and I store under the optional cover on my covered patio. Only consideration: this thing is big and takes up space. Not a negative just beware if you are tight on storage area.
Everything on it is top of the line. Cabinet is well built and the griddle is quite impressive. Even heat across griddle and clean up is easy. You have to love all of the accessories.
I hesitated most of the summer, questioning if I'd use it enough. Well, 3 weeks in, and I've used it nearly every day, sometimes twice a day. Once you get past the basic meals (burgers and breakfast), you realize you can make so much more. I've got cleaning down to a single two-part papper towel, and with a light oiling, it's ready to go for the next day. A testament to the smooth carbon steel cooktop. Highly recommend the 36" - so much real estate.
