Bought this to “up my tailgating game”. Boy did it ever. Great grill, even heat and the quality you’d expect from a Weber. My advice is to give it time to heat up, thick heavy ceramic grates. Cheers!
I've used the new Q2800N+ to cook steaks, hamburgers, chicken and sausages so far and I have been very happy with the results. Never have had any flare ups and the heat is very even across the grills. Purchased this for my RV but now using it at home instead of my expensive built-in grill that flares up and has uneven temps.
This is the third Q I have owned. I am fortunate enough to have two houses to spend time in, one in town and the other in the mountains of Colorado. I grill a lot, so have a Q at each place. Although it still functioned, I replaced my first Q with this one for several reasons: the electronic ignition (the old piezoelectric starter was pretty unreliable) and the porcelain 2-piece grate. The old one was plain cast iron and had gotten pretty funky. Also, one of the folding side tables had broken its hinge.
Even though the hinge broke, I much prefer that design to the new, removable clip-on tables. Why not just redesign the hinge to be stronger?
I've only used the new grill a few times, but it's great! Starts reliably every time, cleans very easily and I like having two burners. Just lighting the outer ring leaves the center a perfect place to grill fish, while igniting both is perfect for meats. Every Q I've used has cooked great!
The great thing about this grill is it puts out a lot of heat and is fairly large as portable grills go. However the plastic side tables are rather flimsy and I don’t plan on using them. Overall I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it as a very capable portable grill.
I have a deep appreciation for my Weber Q 2800N grill. It’s incredibly convenient and user-friendly, featuring a sturdy construction that looks fantastic. It's perfect for grilling for larger gatherings. The main drawback is the cleanup, as both the grill and interior require considerable effort to maintain. Nevertheless, my fondness for the Weber grill remains strong.
