I have been using a weber Q 1000 for years. I finally decided to upgrade grills this year. I looked at all type and brands and decided to upgrade to the Weber Q 2800 N+ the addition of a second burner has increased the capability of the Q 1000 tenfold. I have learned many new things watching videos and reading articles. This Q2800 N+ is Weber's usual great quality with so much more to offer. I will enjoy this for many years to come
Great backyard/tailgate grill. Small enough to be portable, large enough to use as your at home grill for a few people. Build quality is what you would expect from Weber, the additional middle burner really helps for high temps/searing. I can get this grill over 700 degrees. The front slide out grease tray is very convenient for cleaning. The removeable side trays are a nice touch, but i am worried about how long those are going to last. They are made of plastic and slide into the grill handles via 2 small plastic tabs. Otherwise I’m about a month in and we grill 3-4 times/week, so far so good.
Great upgrade for the q series. I have had the older q 2200 and this one is so much better. The extra burner is excellent. Gives you more options to cook low and slow with just the middle burner, or crank both burners on to get super hot. I cooked a pizza in a cast iron pan with the super hot setting, Came out great. The new design for the drip tray makes it so much easier to empty and it still uses the same size disposable pan. This grill comes with a propane hose to attach to a big propane tank built in and I really like that since I will be using this grill a lot.The griddle accessories are also a nice option. Get one of the cart/stands for it and you have the complete package.
This is a great grill. Heats up quickly and maintains temperature great. The build feels solid and clean up is easy! From the first cook it worked great and the steaks came out perfect.
