I love JAWS, and was looking forward to this set since it launched on IDEAS. I’d recommend this set because of the creativity that went into the planning of this set and the level of detail. But the execution is a true miss, unfortunately. As other reviewers have stated, this set is way too fragile and will test the patience of even the most mild mannered. Too many compromises in design have led to a frustrating experience. Had to put it down, will revisit some time I suppose. Such a bummer

Great Set; Frustrating Experience

As a lifelong Jaws and Lego fan, I was SUPER excited to receive this set. Everything was moving along "swimmingly" until I reached Bag 4 (the bow design), where I have stalled out and am on my 3rd rebuild. The tiny blue curved pieces do not fit properly and ultimately cause the internal bow structure to collapse with even the slightest movement. As another reviewer mentioned in their post, you would almost have to use super-glue to provide this section of the build with any stability. Very disappointed thus far. Hopefully the Powers That Be at Lego will see that this is an overwhelming design flaw and perhaps provide more structurally sound replacement pieces??

Blue piece on the bow 👎🏽

The small blue pieces in the bow are too sensitive. Any pressure on any other part of the build make it separate. I've had to rebuild the bow 4 times. Frustrated.

Horrible build. Great set idea, but the boat front end fell apart every time I fixed it. Flimsy build all round. Afraid to touch as it will fall apart.

Cool set…impossible to build

I absolutely love the way this set looks, but it was impossible to put together. There were two specific pieces in the hull of the ship that continued to snap off, and the entire hull kept collapsing on itself . I must have rebuilt that area 5 times. I finally just removed the pieces and had to carefully put everything in place. I’ve built soooo many sets before, and this is the first one I’ve ever had problems on. I would not recommend this level of frustration to anyone. I even had to go to Reddit the weekend I bought the set to see if I was the only one…and I’m not!

Great Concept, Poor Execution

I bought this immediately because it looked awesome and the build looked like a lot of fun from the online building instructions. However, I was greatly disappointed with the build experience as the pieces kept falling out of place. Lots of areas were not secure enough and then the consistently start pushing pieces into places that are unstead and parts of the ship just kept coming apart. This is not what I want in a set.
I have built over a hundred LEGO sets and this has never happened. Building the ship was way more stessful than it should have been if it was executed correctly. From pieces become loose and moving around at the bow of the ship and the ropes falling off the meager pieces. Disappointment is an understatement :(
