I'm Going to Need a Bigger Shelf!

I can't recommend this set enough. The majority of the sets I buy are from the Star Wars or Architecture lines, but as a huge fan of Jaws, I couldn't pass this one up. I especially love the attention to detail such as the little map of the Cape, the tiny "Amity Times" newspaper, and all of the fishing gear. No better way to spend an afternoon than putting Jaws on the TV and breaking open this set.

An engineering oversight
on August 28, 2024

As a lifelong 44-year-old enthusiast, I must say all negative reviews are indeed warranted. The construction of the bow was a calamity. As other reviewers have noted, the blue pieces don't hold attachment if any-and I mean any- lateral pressure is applied when connecting the sides to the internal frame. When sliding the sections of Barad Dur into place, nothing felt "janky". When attempting to slide the bow into place, I felt like I was handling a faberge egg. I purchased 2 sets upon release; one for myself which I have successfully built and have displayed (which as a display piece I absolutely love), and the other as a gift to my brother's son. I have advised that when they arrive at bag 4 they are in for a lot of frustration. With the design quality I've grown accustomed to from Lego, it's safe to say I was disappointed in parts of the build. However, given the unmatched quality I've spent a lifetime enjoying, I consider this a rare mistake.

Lego Jaws review (just awesome!)
on August 9, 2024

The experience of building the LEGO Jaws set was nothing short of phenomenal. The level of detail in Bruce the shark is incredibly lifelike, capturing the essence of the movie perfectly. The Orca boat is meticulously designed, with unique and intricate features that make it a true centerpiece. I absolutely love this set, it’s a dream come true for any Jaws fan. Thank you for bringing this iconic scene to life with such care and craftsmanship!
Looks great when finished with lots of nice details included. Overall it is a decent build, but the bow is really touchy when building it and I feel it should have had a few more points of attachment.

Jaws the magnificent

Where do I start? I saw Jaws in theaters as a young boy. This set captures the look and feel of the movie precisely. The build was very interesting and fun. There is tremendous playability with this set along with great display ability. I'm happy they included the full sized shark and gave an option to display thediorama. The Orca is a masterpiece. This set is legendary.

The bow breaks
on August 20, 2024

I don't normally complain about builds, but the engineering on the bow is substandard. There's a Reddit thread discussing this problem. It holds together just barely, after hours of rebuilding the section over and over. Then you have to connect the bow to the rest of the ship. Again, just barely any pressure breaks pieces internally in the bow. (Those blue pieces are the worst!!!) This set is not for ANY play. Build it, set it high on a shelf, and walk away.

Extremely disappointed

Poor design. For the price I would expect a more sturdy build. I would not recommend this product. The boat bow repeatedly fell apart. I was certain it was our error but after multiple attempts at rebuilding the bow, I realized it was poorly designed. Lego can do better than that.

Unstable assembly

The two (2) small pieces that come apart will try your patience to your tipping point. After more rebuilds of the bow than I can imagine I finally CRAZY GLUED the little blue pieces in place which seemed to work. I can't wait to continue my build to see what other problems I can confront with what little patience I have left.
