I gifted myself with this set because it was the first movie I saw with my father! And the first time my mom allowed me to stay late! ;D.. it was very special for me.. building was perfect and easy.. little complicated on the front of the boat but once you get it.. is absolutely amazing all the details!! Just like the movie!! Am just in love with the set;) .

As a marine biologist I have conflicting feelings about Jaws as a movie. However, I had no conflicts about purchasing this set on day one, especially after following it on Ideas.
Unfortunately, it doesn't live up to my expectations. Some of the build techniques are as stunning as always, but the Orce and Bruce are fragile, making assembly difficult at times. And while I get that these kinds of "diorama" sets are more for display than play, it makes setting up and changing the display all the more challenging. Externally, this set is richly detailed, but it doesn't exactly live up to my expectations from the LEGO group.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've never seen the film, but thought this would be a good set. Sometimes it was difficult to build; the colors are not always distinguishable in the instructions.
