Of all the sets I've done, this one definitely looks the coolest, but was by far the most frustrating to assemble. Quite a few parts are held together by a single stud/contact point and fall apart very easily.

The JAWS set 21350

I have completed many Lego sets (over 75) from the colosseum to the Eiffel Tower etc. I found this the most frustrating set I have ever constructed. There was very little support pieces. I’ve read about those ‘little blue pieces’ in the bow. (I ended up using museum wax to hold them.) I found the whole kit hard to put together. Any pressure you used to connect pieces would cause other pieces to come apart. I normally let my 5 year old grandson to look, touch and ask questions. Not with this piece. Too fragile. P.S. I loved the movie

MOST FRUSTRATING BUILD

This has been the most FRUSTRATING build I’ve ever put together, and I have done so many. I’ve never had to take apart and rebuild a Lego set like I did with this one. Total waste of money.

I’m regularly build legos and i’m very disappointed from this set. The instructions really don’t make a lot of sense as the boat is very sensitive to build and once you get tough things built on the top of the boat, it then asks for you to put something on the bottom of the boat which makes the build fall apart. also, a lot of pieces really don’t match up well so you end up having to force things to fit/which makes it very tough to not continue to break while you build.
i was really excited for this one but it’s been my least favorite to build yet.

I tried and tried. Rebuild it 5 times. I couldn’t finish it. Hardest set to build. YouTube videos didn’t help. I’ve build legos with way more peaces. The stary night comes to mind.

Very disappointed first 5 bags of construction!

I am 85+ Male who has built Lego sets w/ my children + grandkids & neighbors. Was really looking forward to building Jaws, however after initial 5 bags it has become a big not connected mess & too much Superglue to keep forward deck intact . Those aqua colored shoe bricks are 2
of the culprits & after that it just
got worse with forward deck not entering rear section as it should have. Working on bag 6,
hoping I can salvage this thing
W/ play dough. Think my kit of
first 5 bags were not giving me
that "snap" that holds something of this structure together. Looking at my purchases last few years shows I have done quite an Ocean fleet, Jaws will have to be in background. Best of luck & your
skills for all those that come after me !

If your set seems like it's not very sturdy, the best thing to do is double-check your build. Sometimes there may be a piece just a little off from where it should be. In my 50 years of building Lego sets, this is by far the most ineptly designed build. The pieces that are supposed to secure bow to boat are simply ineffective. I have tossed the boat pieces in my extra pieces storage. Was looking forward to purchasing the new boat, but now I am highly skeptical.

Usually don't bother with reviews but bow section of ORCA is both poorly designed and it seems as if no one did any QA on the difficulty of construction when following the building instructions. I came to this forum to find out if others were having the same issues and hoping to find some solution - call us for help is not a solution. I wonder if someone at LEGO not connected with the design/qa of this has ever tried to build it - it seems not - "call customer service" is LEGO punting - not something I've come to expect at all
