Even though it doesn’t have Oogie, I think this was a wonderful set. It’s not like you can’t put pieces together and create your own Oogie. I would highly recommend this to others, especially collectors.
I bought this set for my girlfriend, it didn't give me an option to say that in the survey. Strange it has family or friend's child as an option but not wife or girlfriend. What are you trying to say lego? Otherwise it's a great set and it lights up her little eyes while building it.
Having a blast building this with my 5 year old. We’re huge Nightmare Before Christmas fans and spent the weekend building with either the movie or the soundtrack playing in the background. As the 18+ suggests, a lot of this kit has been beyond my son’s abilities but there are plenty of larger pieces and repetitive steps where he can copy what I’m doing. When there are long stretches of small work, he enjoys playing with the (awesome) minifigures. We spent Saturday building Jack’s house and Sunday building Town Hall. Looking forward to cracking into the graveyard next weekend! Great work, Lego!
I bought this set for my 4 year old son and I to build. He’s obsessed with Nightmare Before Christmas. We just received it today and are having so much fun building it together! We just wish Oogie Boogie and Dr. Finkelstein were included in the set. This is my first Lego set purchase and I know after this experience we’ll be returning to buy more.
I enjoyed every minute of this build. The minifigs are excellent (although Jack, Sally, and Zero stand out as particularly delightful). The attention to detail is consistent throughout, the three major facades are truly breathtaking, and I appreciate how the design thoughtfully includes splashes of color that really pop against the overwhelmingly black/gray buildings and landscape. I appreciate that you can either connect all three parts or separate them to suit your display needs. And the price definitely feels worth it considering everything you get. Building the set brought back all the childhood nostalgia of watching the film, and I'm excited to display it next to the Hocus Pocus set from last year. Bravo!
