Love these NASA Collaborations

This set has been incredible to build, getting to see all the details and reading all the tidbits of information in the build book was really cool. My day to day job involves some components of the actual Artemis program so this set was immediately high on my wishlist and fun to build LEGO versions of what I make daily. I would highly recommend this set to anyone, but especially anyone with kids to help inspire them to support and maybe become part of the science and engineering fields.
This Rocket looks impressive, from afar. Build it, you'll quickly realize how flimsy everything is. The tower, the booster rockets, even the launch pad is haphazard. It's a chore to build, especially because the instructions are confusing... or the build is just so repetitive you sleep walk through it. The tower is 75% of the build and that bad boy goes on and on and on, and leans like the Tower of Pisa without proper additives, if you know what I mean. It still looks cool, the rocket boosters are as solid as Gumpy.

Quality of pieces
on May 22, 2024

The set is stunning and a real masterpiece, but although, the stickers were hard to put on the rocket. But another thing is, the quality of pieces wasn’t that good like in other sets I have. Some pieces had scratches and other things. The sticker set also had a missing sticker! But still, it was fun to build the set, after some repetitive building on the tower.

Only the best is good enough for our fans and it sounds like we fell a bit short with your new set. We'd love to hear from you so we can get more information about the parts issue you mentioned and replace your missing sticker. Our contact information is at LEGO.build/Service-BV.

Product was good. The piece count was high, but not as good as the Saturn five needed to be bigger.

Base is needlessly complex
on June 11, 2024

I enjoyed this and love the final result. However, I found building the base was an exercise in frustration. The build seemed needlessly complex and is VERY fragile while building (once done it is stable). Indeed, more than once I had to rebuild a section of the base as it crumbled. Still, the rest of the build was lots of fun and again the final product looks great.

Bad build experience
on July 29, 2024

I’m someone who is very used to build Lego sets for many years, regardless of their complexity level, so at 99% of the time I know what I’m getting from Lego. This Artemis set was not the case and I’m disappointed. The building experience is terrible. Most of the time you will be building the platform and the tower (about 2/3 or more of the set). Those are well engineered components, the repetitive building of the tower didn’t bother me at all, but I was surprised that the rocket only starts on the last two bags. Their built was annoying with a mix of elements with prints and others with stickers. Again, as someone that’s used to built huge sets with stickers, those are not something I’m not familiar, but the ones in this set were a huge disappointment. The NASA word should be printed, the nameplate should be printed. The round surfaces and poor instruction about sticker location made me feel with the urgency of finish the set as soon as possible and never touch it anymore. The design of the rockets is poor and they are kind of fragile. Not something that I would recommend to someone that expects to play with the set. Also it’s unnecessary big and makes display a problem if you don’t have room for it. I’m actually surprised it currently has good reviews on the website as my reviews tends to match the overall rating. My advice is: you can find much better Lego sets with much greater building experience for this price or less. This Artemis set was a big deception for me!!
